It doesn't even matter at this point but looking back on this season so far I don't think the Jets did themselves any favors when they fired Robert Saleh. They basically just made a weak coaching staff even weaker.
Yeah still the best thing they ever did, if the jets somehow finished 8-9 or 9-8 with him, they would of found excuses to bring him and Joe D back next year.
Before calling that "good" I have to see what kind of operation they hire to replace. If the new guy is on drugs with pulsating eyeballs in the introductory press conference I'm going to be a little nervous.
Just did it for future generations and anthropologists digging thru the ruins of MetLife to find the final story of the NY Jets.
Most close games in the NFL are sealed with a sack or an INT on the defensive side. The rules make it too hard to stop a team on four downs without those things. This defense does neither. EVER. Reddick was supposed to help but he’s been a complete ZERO, and I can’t remember the last time anybody intercepted a pass.
Islanders have still blown more third-period leads just in the past three weeks. Held on yesterday by the skin of their teeth.
The only time they got to Tua yesterday, they were flagged for a BS roughing the passer call. Five minutes earlier, a Miami defender shoved AR long after he threw a pass. No flag. Other HOF QB's draw calls when they are breathed on (Brady, Marino, Peyton etc) but not a Jets HOF QB. Pathetic.
