Travis Hunter was on RG3’s podcast and I only saw some clips but I’m not sure how you can dislike him, Shedeur, Deion, or any of the kids that flocked there. They’re great kids. No drugs, no sex scandals, no drunken escapades. Those dudes train hard as fuck and love throwing, catching and running the rock. They earn their NIL money like anyone else yet they buy some big chains and they’re suddenly tarnished prospects? Shedeur’s the real deal. Quick release, good enough arm for the NFL, incredibly resilient and reads the defense as good as anyone in CFB. I’d give Deion a big ass check to sign to be HC here if he dragged his son along.
Hey, don’t blame me for that mentality. Look what we have been through! The Jets will make you think like that.
Sanders would be Woody's all time pick for clicks and front pages. Bring the circus to the circus. There isn't a single rookie QB in the world that would succeed on this team and I will stand by that until we get one. And don't give me Chad P. He was no franchise QB its been 55 years.
There’s nothing to agree to disagree with. I’m asking if your stance is that we shouldn’t draft a rookie QB because we’re a bad franchise (which is what you just insinuated). BTW. Shedeur is the only QB I think is worth a first round pick. I’m a big proponent of signing a stopgap ala Jameis or Drew Lock and take a QB later while we fix the roster. But I’d take Shedeur in a second if he was there.
Deion and Shadeur would at least represent a real plan. It feels like they haven’t had a real plan in awhile. Sometiems half in on rebuilding sometimes half in on going for it, with a GM and coach that aren’t always aligned
We have to start at the root of the problem. We could bring in all the best talent as we do and it doesn't work. The last guy who made a real turnaround in our culture was Bill Parcells. Until we get a guy like him we are doomed. I'm also of the philosophy that a later pick would have a better chance to succeed because he would have less pressure.
Ok cool. So let’s stop trying to draft talented players because we’re sad about who our coach or general manager is.
I understand what you are saying, but if culture change is what you want then you should be clamoring for Deion more than I am. If nothing else, Deion is a culture changer.
I'm usually all aboard the tank but I legit don't even know what we're tanking for at this point. Never felt more direction less than this with this franchise
Sure, but that is irrelevant in this context. We're talking about next year's draft. We're going to have a new coach by then. We will have no idea how good or bad the new coach is at that point. You don't pass up good players in the draft because you're not sure whether your coach is good yet. Everything we know about drafting says this is false. First round picks work out at far higher rates than picks in any other round.
