A better stat: the Jets have won once on a Sunday this year, all the way back in Week 2. The takeaway from that: EVERYONE, players and coaches alike, should be fired.
Maybe they're getting up too early and spending too much time in church on Sunday morning instead of getting ready to play kickass football.
more like the club with all the millions they stole from woody, really seems it’s like the 80s and these players are playing drunk or coked up, I mean half of them can’t even line up right.
‘With Seahawks punter Michael Dickson limited by a back injury, the Jets were in a favorable position. Up by two points in the fourth quarter, a sack by Will McDonald forced the Seahawks into a third-and-15. After a 9-yard completion, it became clear Dickson was unable to punt, forcing the Seahawks to line up to go for it on a fourth-and-6 in their own territory. A stop with 9:34 to go would have handed New York a short field and a chance to set up a two-score lead. Instead, the Jets were surprised by the decision to go for it. Instead of calling a timeout, they were flagged for having 12 men on the field, handing the Seahawks a fourth-and-1.” — (which they would go on to get of course. Ulbrich matched the flag football CB up with Metcalf, one of the best WRs in the league)
I think we were in a more favorable position when we were up 21-7 and driving for another touchdown only for dumbass Rodgers to throw a pick 6, something even Zack Wilson refused to do last year. What he did was just plain stupid, before he came to the Jets he was regarded as a intelligent quarterback, but I bet if Payton Manning came to the Jets he would somehow dumb down to a iq of a ostrich.
that was dumb too but the topic of your thread is the blown 4th quarter leads and what I shared happened in the 4th quarter. What you are talking about was in the 2nd quarter.
Read a tweet that rang true... The Jets are hilarious. Just Aaron Rodgers, a bunch of his bros, and like six ridiculously talented 22-year-olds. No discipline, no identity, just vibing (and losing) every week.
Ulbrich isn't helping himself doing these post game interviews sporting that WTF am I doing look on his face. His chances of being a HC might not ever happen now. He can thank Rodgers for all this shit.
This is nothing new. This has been the case here for years. Whenever it comes down to the defense making a game winning stop, they blow it by numerous 3rd down penalties. Whenever the offense is looking good, they completely choke and turn a possession in the red zone into points for the other team completely changing the momentum. This has been the case with the Jets since 2012. Same old Jets. Doesn't matter who the coach is, who the players are or who the GM is. They will always fail.
Yeah I was hopeful that there might be a little magic there and Ulbrich might be a long term solution right under our noses. There hasn't been any magic.
They won 3 games, so they held on to leads in those games. Hey, lets look at the bright side. 3 wins!!!
The Jets haven't historically had a problem winning close games. The last two years, they were good at winning close games, which is what deluded people into thinking the team was better than it was. The problem is that the Jets have been a bad team in general.
