I love this message board and I love the Jets, but the team has finally broken me. I used to be as big of a sunshiner fan as you can be, and I even allowed myself to be that again in 2024, but it was proven wrong yet again. I refuse to become a darksider because it’s not a fun way to live, but there is nothing but darkness surrounding the Jets. I don’t see it changing in the future either. Good news though: I have always been wrong. Hopefully I am wrong this time too. The Joe Douglas/Robert Saleh era feels like such a waste of time. Like a black hole. Hope the next era is better, but hope has gotten me nothing as a Jets fan. Hope everyone is doing well here despite the miserable season.
A lot of us are feeling like this. It will pass… not necessarily for something better, but it will pass!
The tailgate still remains my favorite part of the Jet Fan experience. However, the cost associated with this experience is too much to bear. They gave me a 10% increase for next seasons tickets. If I choose not to purchase the tickets at the inflated price, I can loose the PSL ($8,000.00). It takes me an hour to drive to Met Life Stadium. I paid for the season tickets at the November 15 deadline. I hate losing money, but how can you justify the ongoing liability of being a Jet Season Ticket Holder. I need to stop the bleed.
Yeah, that is ridiculous. Fans like you at the stadium each week are the best and unfortunately you have not been rewarded for your loyalty. Paying all that for the product we have been given just isn’t right.
Yeah I thought last year was about as frustrating as it could possibly get but we somehow managed to top it. THIS has to be as bad as it ever gets though. You could have a 98th percentile bad season next year and it would be better than this one.
Agreed. Can’t get worse than this, because we won’t allow ourselves to have any expectations. The bar will be so low. Any effort or strategy will be impressive to see. Nice to see you too! But yeah, I had not posted in awhile, and thought to make this thread. I had not looked at the message board lately, but did after.
Yeah it feels like a long time since the Jets won anything but consider this: Time is created by the act of thinking, and because we think in a linear way, we experience change in a linear way. If you were to stop thinking, you would cease to experience change as a linear progression, and the reality of timelessness would be obvious to you
Couldn't agree more. I'll even extend it so say the JD era which extends beyond Saleh. Just total inertia, never taking any kind of a step forward. Every year felt like we were virtually eliminated from the playoffs before Halloween. Probably the worst 5-year run of Jets football I have ever witnessed.
