he’d be doing the same thing he was doing last year, situation pass rusher only. Paying him top dollar was something JD wasn’t willing to do. Huff had only 18 snaps, which his snap count was cut in half….no pressures on the year. He’s also not in a wide 9 so he can’t use his great bend to get around the corner without the added leverage.
If the Jets can get Reddick back in the building, it would be huge. I'd love to see WMD on one side and Reddick on the other.
He was mostly invisible except for 2 times when he was lined up in the neutral zone. Kind of felt like the 9ers game.
It's amazing that this guy once again disappeared when not playing against a team that won't be competing for the #1 overall pick. It's games like today when you realize we have one of the truly all-time great "General Managers" leading this team.
Will be exciting to see him opposite another elite passrusher in Reddick on the other side rather than fucking Michael Clemons
Yeah it maybe goes under the radar a bit but McD has done this being the only legit edge rusher we have…the plan was to have JJ and McD on each side and that went to shit fast, but McD has come through….assuming he’ll only get better once Reddick actually gets on the field and starts drawing some attention. Goes back to the draft, and I know a lot of folks here hated the pick because of what we had on DL at the time, and I’m not saying OL wasn’t a bigger need at the time, but I truly do believe that you can never have enough good pass rushers. It’s common and easy to rotate them so it’s not like on OL where we drafted Olu and he sits because we have the two veterans…on DL you can rotate and get everyone snaps. Anyway, glad to see the guy doing well…
He's really come along as one of the few bright spots on an otherwise very unimpressive defense this season. I don't think Olu is sitting because we have two veterans. He's sitting because we have two veterans AND an incompetent OL coach AND an incompetent OC. Smith should have been benched weeks ago-he's been a liability and a horrible offseason addition thus far.
Yeah, seriously. I can't wait to see that. JJ was a huge loss to that unit. We need Reddick badly, so we have that dual threat back and hopefully he can help in run support as well.
Where’s this guy been for a month and a half? This board heralded him as the next Lawrence Taylor when he had a couple sacks himself and a couple others handed to him.
The defense has some incredible talent, and Will McDonald is part of that. The entire defense is playing terribly because the playcalling and communication is so bad.
What miscommunication is screwing Will McDonald up? Edge rusher is pretty straight forward. Set the edge against the run. See the passer go get the passer. He hasn’t done either for a month and a half. He’s been largely a ghost minus a couple good games to start the year. On another note JSN had another monster game at 10 catches for 110 in the Seahawks road win against the 49ers.
I don't know what's screwing him or anyone else up, but something is. We saw him playing well earlier this year. He showed promise last year as well. We've also had a few years to see that Quinnen Williams, Quincy Williams, Sauce, and Hassan Reddick are in fact talented players. If proven good players are suddenly playing bad, it usually means the defense is being coached badly.
