Time for some more billboards? Time for a boycott like the old Giants days.... eventually you'd think the NFL will not be happy with a team in the largest market not bringing in the attention it should, How much are they losing in TV ratings when they're on national broadcasts Hopefully they'll have enough put a "hands off" moratorium to the the trust fund baby.
good thing Woody sent letters to Jets ticket holders in October that they want to get paid now for next year, I mean how can anyone support a moron like this?
We all know, no matter what we do, as long as Woody is here, we'll stay the same. That's why we need cuddle to make a radical change from an outside perspective. Someone who can handle Woody on his level, and wont care about the money or their future job prospects with the league. At least it wouldn't be so boring. I promise a Trey McBride in every pot.
There is hope. This was never about money for Woody. The guy has never wanted for anything in his life. Whether he has millions or billions is irrelevant to his ownership of the Jets. The Jets have been a trophy to him. He’s almost 80 years old and is going to be given a cushy job in politics shortly, which clearly he has desire for. If the Jets somehow found success during the next 4 years it will be viewed as if his absence led to that success. If we continue to suck he’ll be returning to a team that has sucked balls for 20 years, and he’ll be over 80 years old. On top of this, we have an opportunity to get out of this god awful stadium we call our home and build our own. Do you really think Woody wants to saddle himself with those costs this late in his life, especially given he won’t even be here while it’s happening? His other option would be to keep the team in Metlife. While he’s already likely secured the most disliked Jets owner title, agreeing to stay at ML stadium will secure his legacy as one of sheer hatred for decades after he’s dead. His children grandchildren will never be able yo spend a day in the NY/NJ area without hearing some mention of how hated Woody is. He will be reviled like no other owner in the league. The only way I can see him staying is if he felt so concerned about his legacy that he moves the team to their own stadium back in NY just to at least have one positive on his legacy here.
there is no hope dude, woodys Johnson son Brick is being groomed to take over the organization one day, ironically he was in the draft room at 14 years old when the Jets chose the biggest bust in Jets history Zack Wilson, there is no hope this team will be in the Woody family forever and outlive us all.
Doing some digging into Brick, he plays for Harvard's tennis team (https://gocrimson.com/sports/mens-tennis/roster/brick-johnson/29854). But based on his tennis recruiting page (https://www.tennisrecruiting.net/player/activity.asp?id=941103), he's not close to Harvard level. He's a good player, but if you want to go to a good academic school with that record, you're playing D3 for Hopkins or something like that. D1 means you're playing for some mid-major school like Bucknell. That he's on the Harvard team means there's some serious nepotism going on.
Maybe. Maybe not. Don't college teams need to seed their players to have competition at different levels? Not that anyone should give a crap anyway.
Are you suggesting that top tier university admissions are anything other than pure meritocracy? Engines for social mobility that seek out only the best and brightest, regardless of socioeconomic background? How dare you
The USA today claims Woody Johnson gave $1.8 million in political donations. In case you were wondering how much an ambassadorship costs NFL owners' 2024 political donations top $28 million, skew Republican
I never really thought that the team getting moved out of the country would be a thing but I can actually see it now. And who would care except us? It's the shitty ass Jets.
