Week starts with a good game. Bengals at Ravens. I don't see any playoff dreams for the Jets as I believe season is over for us but if we were in decent shape I would root for Ravens. Also this week Giants are playing at Panthers Sunday morning in Germany. Loser of that game will have the top pick in the upcoming draft in my opinion. Since I don't want Giants to have the top pick I will root for them.
Still, I will root for the Ravens. The game Sunday by the Jets will tell us a lot about the direction of this team for 2025.
I developed a dislike against the Chiefs due to bullshit calls in their favor and Taylor Swift and Bengals seems to give the Chiefs biggest trouble. At some point they called Arrowhead , Burrowhead. So I will root for Bengals to make the playoffs as I don't see Bills or any other team stopping Chiefs.
Well, never thought of it that way, and my dislike for KC is quite deep. You watch the refs ignore more holding calls and infractions in the neutral zone against KC than the rest of the teams by a country mile.
I came here for some TNF in-game discussion and all I get is @Brook! bitchin' about our dwindling playoff hopes. Suck it up, buttercup!
What a great entertaining game, and I can't remember the last flag I saw. Edit: wtf 10 seconds after I click submit they throw a flag.
Burrow might be the best pure passer in the league right now. He does damage to himself holding onto the ball but the offensive line is still just dogshit. Imagine they drafted some good offensive lineman for this guy?!
I know it sounds like I’m only saying this because it didn’t work but I don’t think you go for 2 when the opposing team would have a shot at kicking a FG anyway? Maybe that’s dumb logic. But I hate leaving it up to one play like that after a long ass drive.
Great finish, but awful missed calls on the two-point play (as well as earlier, but the Bengals scored anyway).
He was betting on Burrow while he was on fire. Even that last play looked like it had a chance without the holding. I think you're right conventionally but I like the decision for this situation. You kick the extra point, a coin flip could mean watching Lamar smoke your defense. I think the much bigger fuck up was leaving points on the board with those 2 bombs earlier.
I think you have to go for it there. If you get it, you probably still lose anyways. To much time on the clock. As small as this was, this helps the Jets. Need Bengals to lose for whatever small playoff hopes the Jets have.
I get the logic but I don’t think Lamar was the same Lamar he’s been all year long. They scored that one flukey 84 yard touchdown that should’ve been a 12 yard gain and another TD drive was on a short 31 yard field after a turnover. He was good, don’t get me wrong and can turn it on at any time but I would’ve hedged overtime. I’m generally a conservative Carl in those situations though.
The refs were letting them play most of the game except for some key calls on that last drive. I'm conflicted about it, I don't like those non-calls but I like that they didn't let the game end on flags in a game where they mostly kept them in their pockets.
