Williams simply had a hard time getting on the same page as Rodgers. The list of guys we can say that about is very long...
Not gonna list all the guys that ended up in his doghouse in Green Bay But here is one, Valdez-Scantling (from the Athletic): In 2021, then-Green Bay receiver Marquez Valdez-Scantling told Tyler Dunne of GoLong, “There are two separate playbooks. There’s the one we get written down. And then there’s one that Aaron has. It’s not an easy thing to just come in and play right away.” Jordan Love, Aaron Rodgers and the difference for the Packers’ skill players - The Athletic
Rodgers himself on McAfee today basically offered a "sometimes a change of scenery is best for guy and I wish him well" spin on it as as the trade got announced.
You’re not going to list them out because there aren’t any good players on that list. MVS has played with Rodgers, Mahomes, Josh Allen and Carr in his NFL career and topped out at 690 yards receiving with the high end opportunity to be the #2. You also said the list was very long.. You’re making it seem like Rodgers can’t “get on the same page” with good players and gets them shipped out.
Clearly the Jets are disorganized this season. And clearly Rodgers has trouble with getting on the same page with certain players, more than Mike Williams and Scantling, idk how you can watch his career and think I’m wrong there but ok
I guess the official rebuild starts this offseason. MW wasn't going anything here so the Jets did him a solid by trading him to a contender. I hope this last win doesn't make the Jet FO/CS think that suddenly, they're a playoff team though. I'm actually hoping this is the beginning of the end for this roster as presently constituted. Bring in the replacement GM/CS and let them reconstruct the roster as they wish.
We aren't competing for a playoff spot. We are competing just not to be a complete joke of an organization. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
I certainly have not been a Corley fan, especially lately. But now I am interested to see what he can do since he owes us all one. Maybe it'll be a pleasant surprise.
Wait what? This makes no sense, so many people were telling me Rodgers is gonna have no issues learning a new playbook for 2025 if we hire a guy like Ben Johnson or Kingsbury.
