Otton was talked about as TE1 and a first round player in preseason rankings as both a junior and senior. He just had dogshit QB play at Washington and no production in college as a result. Naturally we took Ruckert who had the upside of an OK blocking TE2 from one of college footballs most explosive offense, 5 picks ahead of the high upside player.
Maybe that's what Woody was getting at when he said "Thinking is overrated". Joe Douglas thinks too much...
