there's not a single guy on this current Jets team I'd build around, not a single coach whose player development or scheme has shown they're clearly better than a randomly selected replacement, and a front office that's so clueless it thought 3 weeks ago the Jets were in "buy" rather than "sell" mode. Season is at the 1/2 way point and the Jets are right at home in last place in what might be the weakest division in the NFL through the first half of the year. Can't wait to hear the tough talk and see all the positive vibes from practice this week. Jets are like a bad halloween mashup of scarecrow and tin man--> no brain and no heart. This might be the most unlikeable Jets team I've seen in my unfortunate 43 years of fandom.
There is not a single great player on this team - the only half way quality player is Q - last year we were thinking "if we only had a good QB then we'd actually be good" - now we allegedly have a good QB and we are somehow even worse.
I think the theory still holds true. The problem is, our QB is awful, and every single element of this team is built around him. The offensive staff is worst in football, and thats who he wanted.
We are about to enter Into another "rebuild" type of sell. I don't know If I have the stomach for It. To waste this much time and to be this bad at the end of It, Is disgusting. I hate this team. If only I had the power to let go.
This team will never be a contender until they draft and develop a Top 10-15 QB. Yet GMs will continue to chase other team castoffs or 40yo thinking they can recreate the Brady in Tampa SB run.

You're not wrong. The franchise does not know how to win a football game currently. That's not hyperbole. The Jets currently do not know how to win a game. You will see wins in the win column of the other team loses it. You can get all the all pros or HOFers you want, none of them know how to teach an organization how to win. This is 100 percent systemic.
They're all but eliminated from that. Season is effectively over today. And it's not even Halloween. And, sadly, we're going to run it back next year with Rodgers and Joe Douglas picking another shitty coach for this team to endure for 2-4 years.
This. They simply do not know how to win. Rodgers was absolutely the WORST QB to bring into a franchise that needed a sturdy shoulder and a steady head to guide. The Jets need someone more like Peyton Manning that they did a guy like Rodgers. Rodgers is a "me" guy and the Jets need a Team Leader. Someone should walk up and rip that fucking golden "C" off his chest. Nothing about him is a captain.
