Weird one to start with but…

    Collin Rogers, Kicker, SMU

Dude drilled a 53 yarder that would’ve been good from 63 a minute ago. Doubt he comes out because he’s a junior but damn that was true.

What do you think about Jalen Milroe?

Tough to get a read. I didn’t like Anthony Richardson whatsoever coming out and it’s basically the same skill set however Milroe will come out after playing two full years.

If he goes to a franchise with a plan, he’s wildly talented and more accurate. If he goes to a rudderless ship and expected to be Superman, he’s doomed.

I don't think I would look into QBs these days. Try 2 years down the road.

I pumped Cam Ward a lot as a NFL prospect last year but I think he’s pretty much dead as a big time player.

Worth a crack in the 5th round because he’s a true gunslinger and those guys can always be good backups.

Theran Johnson from Northwestern is wildly good. I don’t even think this is any sort of sleeper statement. He’s been faster to the ball than any corner I’ve seen in quite a while tonight vs. Maryland.

No franchise QB's in this upcoming draft. The Jets were so close to landing Peyton Manning in '98. They can make up for that huge miss about 28 years later when Arch Manning comes out.

That would be the no brainer pick to lead the franchise to glory. He's the real deal.

Not exactly going out on a limb here but Kyle Kennard for South Carolina is unbelievable. @BrowningNagle don’t you follow SC? Thoughts on him as a pro?

Funny I’m posting his name after he makes the first bad throw I’ve ever seen him make but I don’t get why Garrett Nussmeier isn’t talked about more as a top end QB prospect. His anticipation is elite. His arm isn’t but it’s plenty to be a NFL QB.

I do follow SC, I am an alum. Not sure how I missed this post!

I love the way Kennard is playing but I don't see him being a big-time pro. He rushes from a 2 point stance a lot and I dont see that being effective in the NFL. He has great hands but ya know some of that might be experience, he's one of the Covid-special super seniors, rushing against underclassmen at times, he ought to have better hands!

Dylan Stewart is the real NFL prize on that SC D-line, that I think is the best unit in college football.

I like it! Coach's kid there, you know you are getting a prepared player. Definitely worth a pick especially seeing the success of Jayden Daniels, Nuss here had the same coaching

He played a dogshit game on Saturday but he really has looked good this year. He’s not playing with elite receivers or runningbacks. Really good tackles helps.

I seem to be visiting the DRAFT thread earlier in the season each year w/this awful organization.

I do not see any real QB prospect worth picking in the 1st round in 2025. That doesn't mean other NFL teams won't execute the never-ending annual trade-up to overdraft a QB. So with so many issues on the team to address, - I think a trade-down would be in our best interests (then again, I think that every year). Nevertheless, probably wise for us to learn from horrible past mistakes & not chase the over-hyped fraud QBs that move up the charts simply because of the position. This team looks like its headed for a couple of lean & trying seasons. Dare I say that caliber & character are traits that may very well over-ride pure talent in 2025 draft & even 2026. We have no identity now & barely any team culture. We need to think about leaders. Also considering that the run defense is so shot right now & that just deflates a team when the D gets run over (as NYJ has) & is forced to stay on the field ---- I am hoping we can trade down a couple of spots to acquire later picks & still get Mason Graham DT from Michigan. The hope is that it'll help stuff the run & take a lot of double team heat off of QWilliams who has not played well this year. Its a safe pick which is exactly what we need.

    And just to follow-up on the above ---- we are heading into Week 10 of the college football season & I have no confidence that any of the below would work out relative to a 1st round draft position;
Shedeur Sanders - no interest from me. No faith in the character on this guy
Cameron Ward - love his size & arm but they're now projecting him top 10 and I don't see top 10.
    Jalen Milroe - absolutely not
Carson Beck - has regressed in 2024

I see guys like Quinn Ewers & Drew Allar are 2nd rounders. Jonathan_Vilma mentions Garrett Nussmeier & I see him solid value in the 3rd round.

What character flaw does Shedeur have though? I see this a lot because he’s a bit flashy with the money he’s gotten paid but he doesn’t get in trouble, he takes an absolute beating every week behind a shitty offensive line and he’s a hard worker.

I followed Cam Ward the past couple years a lot at Washington State and he’s interesting but I think he’s just a turnover machine in the NFL. He throws a lot of wild balls into tight windows and I see a fumbling problem following him to the next level.

Beck should go back to school. I can’t figure Milroe out at the next level at all. In the right coaching situation and maybe sitting for a year he could be a stud or an utter disaster. No thanks on Ewers or Allar.

Nussmeier might be a Heisman favorite if he goes back to school.

The flashy w/the money does it for me. Plus the time back in mid-Sept when he threw his o-line under the bus in the press. Gotta have tough skin to come here to NYJ because its going to be a lot of losing to take.

Do you think it's a bit over the top to see it as a character flaw when he chooses to spend his own money differently than how you choose to spend yours?

UConn’s right tackle Chase Lundt looks like he absolutely blows guys off the ball. They’re not playing prime Alabama’s front but I think he could be a good NFL tackle.

Carson Beck has the arm and pocket presence to be a big time QB but he needs to go back to school. He was wildly spoiled with Brock Bowers and to a lesser extent McConkey making him look good.

I think he’d be nuts to come out this year BUT it’s a weak class and he might get overdrafted because of that. We’ll see what happens.
