https://www.si.com/nfl/jets-reveal-aaron-rodgers-new-injury He seems to be getting less and less mobile, he seems to be making quicker (but not always the best) decisions to compensate for the lack of mobility. Do you think he should take the next game off to heal a bit? Are we better with this version of Rodgers or Tyrod Taylor?
The Jets are playing checkers while the better half of the league is playing Chess. What a circus act.
Resting him for a week could be an interesting idea. Highly doubt it would happen because of how important this game is. I'd also honestly be curious how this offense looks with Tyrod Taylor
I’m getting the feeling he’s going to pull a Farve on us. He’s just injured enough to play and look subpar. He’ll leave at the end of the year, go somewhere else and look like what we were hoping for. I hope that’s not the case, but I’m getting that feeling.
Everyone likes to blame Rodgers but lack of mobility due to his legs being so fucked is only an issue because the line is dog shit.
The two common denominators in all of these issues surrounding the Jets traveling circus? Woody Johnson and Joe Douglas. They built this house of cards.
Might as well sit Rogers for a game, since he's playing more and more like Neil O'Donnell and can use the rest. Also, maybe a mobile QB helps the offense get out of its four game funk.
This is the week to let Rodgers heal up. We have a Thurs. game against the tough Texans following this game. Have Tyrod hand off to Breece and Braelon and run the ball down the Pats throat...
What do you expect to happen when you put a 40 year old behind a terrible offensive line? If he keeps playing he will be in a wheel chair soon guaranteed. That Joe D sure is a guru. We want Joe for life!
If we were 4-3 or 5-2 sure. We can’t afford to go 2-6. What this injury is prepping us for is if we lose to NE. Then I guarantee you this hamstring becomes a season ender unless of course Tyrod ends up going 9-0 and we finish 11-6, then Rodgers will miraculously heal again.
Rogers took this job..and he knew about the GM Coach and OL. He came here and said all the right things . Now he has a taste of competition and frankly I dont think he gives a damn at this point if we win or lose
I mean the flip side to that is we still have a long season left, and NE is one of the worst teams in the NFL. If this roster can't beat NE with a healthy Tyrod filling in for an injured Rodgers none of these other future big picture considerations probably end up mattering anyway. At some point "you keep losing because you simply aren't very good" is the real answer here. Losing to NE arguably solidifies that answer as fact and potentially spares us a lot of stressful headache RoS imo.
