Ulbrich clearly isn't the answer. Need to blow this entire organization apart. New coaching staff. New GM. New owner. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
Yeah, I'm done as well. I've spent too much of my existence watching this bullshit. And I just can't do it to myself anymore. Rooting for the Jets literally is the definition of insanity. It's literally doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Need to fire this franchise into the sun and start from scratch. And you know damn well we'll go on a run and just fall short where any of these stupid losses from early in the season are the reason we don't make it
I'll say it again but louder- the Jets are putting on tape each week a franchise culture that no highly sought after coach will want a part of.
That's why we need to find a slightly under the radar OC. Ben Johnson is out, he'll be able to go to any team he wants. We need to be targeting Slowik, Kingsbury, Robinson, and Kubiak.
They need to fire everyone with enough time to let the new GM put their team together and prepare for the draft. Then the Johnsons need to be banned by the NFL from making any football related decisions. Get them out of the way and embarrass them in front of all the other owners who I’m sure talk shit about them all the time already. If this franchise were in a lesser market it would have moved by now.
New owner will never happen as long as the trust fund baby is alive and the sheer incompetence will continue.
NFL owners don't respect him. Maybe the owners will kick him out of the boys club and MAKE him sell??
How/why would they do that? What do they care? And it's not like the Jets are the only team that have a problem with their owners. The Panthers, Browns, Giants, and Jaguars are just as dysfunctional right now. This fanbase is so tunnel visioned that we're convinced we're the one terrible franchise among 31 elite, competent teams.
Before we went down the Rodgers road, and essentially conceded both the potential value/need to put system building before big name chasing at QB, my entire take I took into all the arguing with you and others on this board was actually beating the drum pretty loud for Kingsbury. Mostly due to the fact that unlike a hotter ticket guy like Ben Johnson I believed we'd actually have a chance to land him with the same type of alternative full court press we used to lure Rodgers. Stroking the bit of ego and axe to grind aspect i saw being there with general promise of this being 100% *HIS* show on offense to run from the ground up in a higher profile spot. As a clear HC in waiting behind a guy who'd be staying out of his way (kinda like Campbell does in Det for Ben), and in what would always realistically amount to a necessary transition year (with upside) as we were looking to move beyond Zach. Unfortunately i think we are likely a year too late on that though as his stock and potential competitive HC position interest around the league is likely only going way up with what's going on in Washington. Another potential problem and/or risk with Kingsbury (well, other then the serious doubt he and Rodgers could even co-exist in any salvage picture as Rodgers is probably locked in through 2025) is his success formula might be a little too tied into needing a more specific type of QB we might not necessarily be able to adequately match up with right away.
We always say that, but when was the last time we got turned down by a highly sought after coach? Matt Rhule is the only one I can think of, and that was a bullet dodged. Every coach we've had since Herm Edwards, with the exception of Adam Gase, was highly sought after: Mangini, Ryan, Bowles, and Saleh were all hot coaching prospects and they chose to come here. After things didn't work out, we just assumed they must have been losers that nobody wanted, but that's just not true. Very, very few coaches these days have the luck and privilege of replacing a retiring coach of a team at peak success. 9 times out of 10, they are replacing fired coaches of struggling teams with dysfunctional front offices. Money talks, and so does the prospect of becoming legendary for turning around a dumpster fire team.
Of course , you could also be burned alive in that dumpster fire ahaha We need a miracle makeover like in Minny and Detroit..and I am not sure if I will ever see it in my lifetime You could make Bellichek HC and GM pay him double and I bet he would take the deal
Make no mistake whoever woody hires will be a dumpster fire. Woody will however convince us idiots this guy is the next Lombardi and we will rush to buy tickets. Maybe even splurge on a washed up 40 year old that no other team will touch with a 10 foot pole.
