Guy drafted a bust QB, went all in on a 40 year old QB, scapegoated an offensive coordinator and a head coach, and despite all that has built a 2-5 team with no future. Oh and his record is now 29-61. 22-55 if you don't count his first year, which you shouldn't because that was Maccagnan's team. Even Maccagnan went 24-40 and had a winning record once. Douglas has done more damage to the Jets than any of his predecessors, yet somehow there are still people who like him. Though that number is dwindling with each week. But hey, at least he's been all but stripped of his duties now. This is the Jets though, so the new guy in charge is the one guy who's even worse at running the team: Woody himself.

P.S. The Jets schedule is about to get much softer, so there should be some wins up ahead that make you think there's still hope for Douglas and the Jets. Don't be fooled.

For all the young talent he's brought in it seems like they're all either regressing or don't want to be here

Joe Douglas is now 29-61, while quitting on Darnold for Zack Wilson and trading even more picks for the bum Aaron Rodgers, and still not fixing this offensive line after 6 years, so what does the moron trust fund baby Woody Johnson do keep letting him blow further picks and capstrap us. What the hell does he have to do to get fired at this point. 32 games below .500 with a 6 season sample size. Common wtf. If giving up 31 unanswered points and getting blown out in a must win game to save your season doesn't do it what does?

that '22 draft that was supposed to be this classic looks worse by the week - if we had a do-over of that draft I doubt I would pick any of the same players in the first 2 rounds.

given all this "talent" it is funny that last year after 7 games we had a BETTER record with ZW under centre (the worst rated QB in the NFL) than we do with Rodgers.

    21 and 69

He on the same fucking playing field as Matt Millen when he was on Detroit. Anyone who defends Joe Douglas is a fucking fool.

They need to burn it to the ground and hope that for once they get a good coach/GM/QB combination.

NFL building isn’t hard enough to be 15 years without a playoff appearance especially when almost half the league makes the playoffs now.

This was actually their best shot, too. Next week we'll finally add Reddick and probably squeak one out against the hapless Patriots, then get steamrolled by the Texans four days later.

    This is boring football.

JD dumped Sam too early, swung and missed bigtime with Zach, waited too long to dump him, and committed our future to Rodgers who might not be the best fit for a team with so much young talent.

He waited for a four game losing streak before finally caving to the highly paid pass rusher he traded for (despite already having two first rounders at the position on the roster) after giving away JFM.

We already canned to HC that JD picked after he failed miserably.

There is no way you bring JD back this season after you let him tear the team down to the studs and this is what he has give us.

For all we know the injured QB we drafted for a red shirt year end up being a golden boy but we would be nuts to keep JD around long enough to find out.

Exactly, he sold us a rebuild, which was fine. But we are well past the point of things looking better and they are worse than ever. I don't see anyway we bring him back next season.

His drafts are looking worse and worse by the week. Didn't seem to hit on a single offensive lineman of the 3 x 1s, 1 x 2, and several lower round picks he spent. That's just the start.
This team will enter this offseason in a worse overall position than when he started, and as a result be unable to attract top talent to the FO and CS.

We're always at the same crossroads: who would want to come here . . . that's any good? And who might that be? Bum after bum.

I still think Jermaine Johnson will be be the best one... (but hopefully the injury doesnt change that)

What good candidate would want the job with Woody sticking his little Johnson in things?

What we need to find is a HC that players are blindly loyal to and become disciplined without any prompting, who has the perfect shell scheme that no teams can figure out, who will let his coordinators be chosen for him (and he's so good that you can pretty much give him the worst coordinators available) and who will let you draft bad players and will be fine with starting them immediately to sell as many jerseys as possible and somehow you still win that way.

    That's who we need.
