I've been saying for the past 3 seasons now that the Jets should get this guy. Solid all around player
I don't give a shit about waiving the fines, it's not my money. It's giving in when the player had absolutely zero leverage, and if you were going to give in, you give in a lot sooner when it could have made not only a difference on the field but in the perception and how it affects other negotiations in the future. The guy hasn't done any activities, he'll probably be hurt in the first week or two. Hamstring, groin, whatever. And you don't jump over your GM to do it. This owner is a fucking moron. And he never learns.
I still think he gets traded at the deadline, but I think they told him they wouldn't be able to trade him if he wasn't on the field. Just a guess, maybe he sticks.
We will lose tonight and be 2-5 After that fuck anybody who appreciates anything about this team. God I hate Woody and Joe D. They bring in Adams and Reddick after we fall to 2-4
Well you know how I feel about Woody and Joe. About tonight, this isn't any Steelers team I'm familiar with. They still have good players on defense but I think they have a chance against a team that feels the need to play games about who their starting QB is. 4 losses sucks but it's not as crippling when they keep adding games to the schedule. They'll probably expand the playoffs soon too, so franchises like Woody's can get the participation award. Then we'll never get a call in the postseason.
I'm not a big Joe fan, but this is not him at all. He's the one that drew the hard line, Woody stepped over it and brought Reddick behind it. Just like the whole Aaron Rodgers debacle, this is Woody and his sticky disgusting fingerprints all over again.
Whatever at this point, go get the fucking QB, disrupt the opposing offense and I am good. I can't even pretend to care about precedence and right/wrong at this point. I just hope he can do the job that he was brought here to do...
It'll be good and help to have him in there but man on a principle level....F that guy. He gets short lived cheers from me at best rest of way. A long term extension, that will end up being yet another wasteful GM mistake, hopefully never materializes either.
They are only 2-4. Win a few games and the season is back on. It's not too late. This is what a team should do in an all in year.
I hear the principle thing, but what did you guys expect? The only win win is to get him back on the field, hope he does well, and either play the rest of the season with him and trade him at a high next season or trade him before the deadline. We always knew the fees will be picked up, he ain’t getting any more than on day one. Best hope for us is he lights them up on the field. Now we are bitching about spending the owners money unwisely……please. We should spend more, and get a real run stuffer.
This is an assumption. How long has it been since he played again? Not only that, NONE of these fools looked like they were out of pre-season....well, for some it STILL looks like they are in pre-season. This idiot won't be ready to actually CONTRIBUTE for at least 5 to 6 weeks. He's not going to help this team to the playoffs because the Jets will be eliminated before he's ready to actually contribute. I absolutely HATE this signing. I don't care if he has 20 sacks between now and the end of the year. Dude is going to be a cancer. I feel it.
