I wouldn't give up on Corley just yet. He came from small school, and may need time. But he might get an opportunity later this year. I would not consider him a wasted pick just yet.
Which three? Allen Lazard seems to be in the right place, but can't hold the ball half the time. Garrett Wilson at times, especially in big spots, and Mike Williams at all times. Beyond that, he doesn't look for anyone else. I'm not saying Aaron Rodgers has been great, probably not even good, but he is not throwing the ball to empty spaces. I will die on that hill.
Would Adams have helped converting one of those 1st and goals inside the 10 to a TD meaning we didn't need the FGs which were eventually missed? Adams is a good player, he makes our team better, he cost very little. I don't understand how any Jets supporter could be upset with this move.
We paid a 3rd for a one year rental on a 2-4 team. Not saying there isn't an upside for this season, but we are getting more and more desperate and destructive to our future for this whatever season. Maybe we'll turn it all around and go far though - who knows?
It looks like they just added on 2 void years, therefore, pushing some of his salary down the road. The next 2 years are still not guaranteed, and no have a higher cap hit. Plus, if he is released in the offseason, there will be dead cap hits for the next 2 years. From CBS Sports: This maneuver frees up $8,362,667 of 2024 cap space. Adams' new 2024 cap figure becomes $3,227,333 to be precise. Adams' 2025 and 2026 cap numbers each increase by $2,090,666 to $38,340,666. Assuming this interpretation is correct, the $38,340,666 is the NFL's largest 2025 cap number for a non-quarterback.
It will come down to what Rodgers decides to do. If he gets the brakes beaten off of him like he has been, my guess is his body will be indicating to him he doesn't have the bounce back anymore. If Rodgers is out, Adams is out.
We'll have to decide if we want to retain him for 40 million next year - which is highly unlikely given we should be paying Garrett next offseason. Or maybe Adams cuts us a deal if the Arod love is clicking? Most likely this is an 11 game rental (plus postseason?).
There is nothing to decide, he is not getting 40 mil. This figure is not guaranteed and no one is paying anywhere near that. Basically it is a meaningless number you can print out on a piece of paper to wipe your ass with. He is essentially a FA next year. P.S, The restructure also doesn't change anything. This was just to push the CAP hit of 11.5 mil cash we will pay him this year - over 3 years, hence reducing this year's CAP hit.
Adams had a hamstring issue with Vegas notice how fast he recovered once he was traded. Lots of fake injuries in football especially with players having personal problems with their current teams..
Possibly, but hamstring injuries are usually 21 day recovery time and he last played 23rd Sept so it lines up that he would be available this week. Not saying he didn't add some mayo to it but it's not unreasonable for him to miss 3 games.
You're three for three. Rodgers may not be throwing the ball to empty spaces but that is where they sometimes land. This week the QB said his receiver was not where he expected him to be; last week same story with the other two. If his passing is perfect, his communication must be awful. Communication is a two way street.
