nothing gonna be more Jets than DA starting next week at Pitt and AROD getting knocked out of the game, out for the season, in the first quarter. That'd just put this whole experiment on a pure Jets level. I think all this move did at this point is keep the Jets in the news cycle and set back the rebuild by more draft picks and salary cap. Because this team will still think its in "win now" past the trade deadline that'll also prevent effective trades away to accelerate the rebuild process. So, the Jets will go into the offseason with a mid 1st round draft pick, loss of day 2 picks, poor salary cap situation, an old/overpaid roster, and questions about the QB position and the veteran culture. Seems like a real attractive situation for a HC to want to come into.
Yeah well maybe if the Raiders had been a little more realistic, you know, 2 weeks ago, it would have been done
What do Tyron Smith, Hassan Redick, and mike Williams all have in common? They are 30+ and have been disasters, so what does Joe Douglas do trade for 32 year old Davente and expect him to turn this mess around coming off a injury? What a moron. We should be selling not buying. But this just proves that Joe Douglas is selfish and only cares about saving his ass
Ehhh.... at least he'll get to hang out courtside at Knicks games with Rodgers when the season's over
“Salvageable? We’re going to kick … you can fill the word in,” Woody Johnson said when asked Tuesday if the season could still be saved, per NFL Network.
Also Rapaport is reporting the Jets are restructuring Adams' contract. This looks like a 2-year tryst and not just for this season
If anyone but the Jets wanted Davente, raiders would of gotten more than a 3rd round pick, I wouldn't trust this organization to evaluate a ham sandwich, The other teams must know that Davente is washed and so do the raiders. The guy is 32 years old and just got injured. Teams keep dumping their trash on us and we keep paying them for it with a smile. We seem to just love taking damaged goods and other teams baggage and paying up the ass for it. Or Jd to be more specific.
That twerp really can make any conversation about football or man- business in general extremely awkward.
After 2025 the Jets will be back to square #1. Rodgers gone, Adams traded, Lazard gone. The search will be for a new QB, HC and GM. The Jets are in a endless tape loop,To quote Albert Einstein: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
It appears unlikely that the Jets can afford to take on both Reddick and Adams at this time. Given that, which do you believe could be more important to have on the field now? Note - the question is about their performance on the field without regard to how well they treat their mother, their rap sheet, business, legal or moral implications - just how well they play their positions.
What do you mean, our season is saved, this trade alone, is the difference between a 4 win season, to a 7 win season! God save us, the Jets have desperate written all over them.
