This trust fund baby was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and never had to work even 1 day to earn his living like rest of us. This guy is the worst owner in the league and until he hets tired of the Jets and sell the team we have no future. Please follow my footsteps an remind him on twitter that he has to sell the team and stop owning the Jets. Woody you suck!
now he's imitating Jerry Jones sticking his stupidity into football business. about which, like everything else, he knows nothing. cardboard cutout of a man.
David Tepper is probably worse in his limited time. Jimmy Haslam is also pretty awful at this point with the Watson trade and contract. Seems like it’s solely his doing. But yeah he’s pretty bad. Over the past 12-13 years he has to be the worst.
First thing he did when he got here was to scare off two of the greatest head coaches in the history of the NFL. Most of the success the team had initially was on the remains of the team that Parcells built. Mangini and Rex gave us a few good years after that but after Tannenbaum (a Parcells holdover) left the team fell apart,
I get it. Woody sucks. No question about that. But, that said, let's not paint other morons like T-bomb as a competent, valiant warrior thrown under the bus thanks to Woody. Jets had a razor-thin squad depth during T-bomb's team management because he literally concentrated more than the lion's share of the entire salary cap to a handful of players.
Should have sold the team ages ago. It's all about appearances and looking cool for owning an NFL team. He has no idea what he is doing. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
I do not advocate violence under any circumstance. That said, I do want to drill Woody in the gut with a crushing knee kick every once in a while.
Mangini built those teams. No one ever wants to give him credit for it. Mangini should have went the GM route rather than coaching. Had a good eye for talent. Tannenbaum sucked the moment Mangini left and was awful for the Dolphins afterwards. Personnel decisions were brutal during the Rex years.
I always thought that too. Tannenbaum did the contracts under Mangini. Once he took over personnel decisions when Mangini was fired, we nosedived.
Question for Jets fans who are my senior: Was Leon Hess as bad as Woody Johnson? I only remember the tail end of his reign.
Don't know about that but he's def up there in the top 5 worst. Only thing I give him credit for is the return to the 80's uniforms..
Tanny had the balls to trade up for Revis in round one and doubled down to trade up again for Harris in round two. He was the best GM's we have had. We got to three AFC Championship games with his help.
Woody Johnson is known in league circles as one of the most meddlesome owners in the league. I think people defended him when that was made public but there should be no question now. He is a pencil necked twat that has no business planning a road trip much less calling shots for a football team. But since he owns the team, nothing will change.
That's Ambassador Woody to you, peon. Hess wasn't great, in the sense that the Jets sucked for most of his reign and never won anything. He kind of ignored the team mostly, I think, like he didn't care that much about it. But he was reportedly a good person and a good business owner. So overall, no, not nearly as bad as Woody. Not even close. But who is? (now that Snyder is gone)
I disagree. Woody demonstrates impeccable judgment and needs to be more involved in day to day decision making.
