We went from a guy that was "coaching to where football is going" to a dude that's coaching where football has been. Some day we'll get it right... if only by accident.
Just saw a gem from Saleh's post game press conference. When asked what he saw from our offense in the first half: "Credit Minnesota. They do a lot of different things." So, our offense is only capable of dealing with one thing that a defense does. If a defense does a second, third, fourth, or whatever number of different things, we just can't deal with it? I mean, seriously.
No one gives a sh#t Lazy bums encouraged by the lazy bum in chief Saleh Lazy Douglas and Lazy Woody are the lazy bum RS heroes
I'm going to take a wild stab at this and assume you meant "no better than" a .500 team. A 500 team would be a significant improvement over what we've seen from these mutts.
Except no way Vrabel is taking an interim job. I would love to have him here, but he's an off-season hire after the house is totally cleaned. And you can't clean house in-season unfortunately. They either fire the head coach and promote someone as the interim, or they just wait it out and clean house on Black Monday.
for sure it happens a lot Saleh “what? I coach up Huff and you let him walk? Wait- and you just traded Franklin-Myers?” Douglas: “Don’t worry Coach im getting you Haason Reddick”
As I get older, I am concerned that by the time they do pull it all together, I'll be a 90-year-old invalid on oxygen, and all of my family, friends that are left, and anyone else will be crying and thrilled for the seriously incapacitated old man and all he's gone through over the years. Yep, that sounds about right.
I disagree with that. An interim job would get Vrabel back in the groove so he'd be a more valuable candidate for a permanent position after the season ends, here or elsewhere. Appointing an interim guy from within would be a sign that only minor changes are needed in the organization. This team needs a mass exorcism.
"time is a flat circle" I wonder how many times in the nearly 40 years since I started following this franchise I have said something along the lines of "the Jets need to fire everyone, clean house and start all over again" - aside from 1 season Al Groh the only Jets head coach ever to have a better than .50 win percentage is Bill Parcells.
I said it before, and I will say it again: I still can't believe they fucking went for it on 4th down on the 35 in a ten-point game IN THE SECOND QUARTER instead of kicking a field goal.
I agree. I’m not at all going to defend Saleh here but a lot of teams are suffering from bullshit like this. The Texans were up 14-3 and went for it on like the Bills 20 in the first half. These coaches make some mind numbing decisions early in games.
I don't hate them going for it but the playcall was the fucking problem. They needed 1.5 yards and Allen was lined up 9 yards back from the LOS.
When BUF comes in here and beats us on Monday night the “Fire Saleh” chants need to be loud and proud so everyone on National TV can hear it.
