Are they now giving him the Denzel mims treatment? can he not learn the playbook or something? Is he really worse than Gipson? The guy got so much hype when he was drafted and now they won’t even play him? Not like our offense is lights out to begin with can he possibly be worse?
It was a makeup pick for passing on an offensive playmaker in back to back years. I’ll give Corley the benefit of the doubt though. Our coaching staff is the type of dogshit that rots in 100 degree heat for two months. I’d guess he would’ve caught a couple passes by now if he was on the Ravens or Texans.
https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...y-was-his-favorite-receiver-in-the-2024-draft This comment has always had me wondering.
If he's active, then we can't point to his potential anymore and we'd have to judge him on production. Which would mean that Douglas' inability to draft, especially in the earlier rounds, would be on full display rather than having the promise of "potential" waiting in the proverbial wings.
Either he doesn't know the playbook or he's just bad. Either one is a massive indictment on JD. Can't believe we traded up for this guy and had a 2nd round grade on him.
I can. Remember, this same decision was made by the guy who thought it would be a good idea to have Zach Wilson as the backup to a 40 year old QB with a calf strain playing behind an O-line that would have been better if they'd just picked 5 random people out of the stands and threw them out there.
How can JD screw this up so bad? Missing on picks like this is why we suck. we really need players who can catch the ball quickly due to AR lack of mobility. Really baffled here but then again, it’s the jets.
Haven't read any of the comments, so if this was said already, my apologies. But based on what I know of the history of this team, and especially this coaching staff, they have no idea what to do with him and he's not coming along as expected. Just like every other offensive prospect the Jets have had for...way too long.
Not sure how he wouldn't be able to learn the playbook, I can't imagine Hackett having more than 8 plays. He is to dumb to draw up anymore, Maybe he is part of the Adams trade?
There is speculation that he was inactive to protect him from injury for an imminent trade deal for Devante Adams.
If I go out tomorrow and take a shit in the middle of a busy intersection, and I get arrested, I wouldn't call that a "treatment." That's just common sense.
Even if he's still developing, it's hard to believe they don't have some packages for him that showcase his strengths. Oh wait no it's not
Next time don’t draft the guy from directional Kentucky school with a limited route tree oh wait there might not be a next time for Joe Douglas
Hackett is completely unable to design a standard game plan for standard players, I don't know that we'll ever see anything creative that uses Corley.
It's going to be hilarious if Corley sees playing time and immediately makes an impact. It would be example 500 of our coaching staff not realizing a guy can contribute until well into the season.
He was inactive. This is now a regular Weds occurrence. I just got another alert from Google about WKU greasing another school I have never heard of. I guess they don't miss Corley much. He looked like their only good player last season.
