Ironically, Rodgers would probably be a top 10 QB on most teams in the NFL, or if LaFleur were still the OC here. But instead he's now getting the same experience Geno and Sam got. It's not just young QBs who the Marty Mornhinwegs and Adam Gases and Nathaniel Hacketts of the world ruin.

 

One thing I have noticed is that during games, Rodgers only talks with Lazard. Him and Wilson just don't mesh together and that shows on the field and on the sidelines. I never see Rodgers even talking to his buddy Hackett anymore. Saleh keeps his distance.

This is the '2024 NYJ circus in effect here. We've all seen this movie and we know how it ends.

 

Firing Hackett and benching Rodgers for a couple games is probably the best bet.
He’s got zero mobility to extend plays, and zero cohesion with his playmakers.
One of the worst passer ratings in league.

 

He has a passer rating of 81.6. It's bad, but Tyrod Taylor won't be better. He's not the problem any more than Sam was the problem. It's the braindead playcaller. Of course, if he's the one who's preventing the Jets from firing the braindead playcaller, then fire the braindead playcaller anyway.

For sure, Rodgers is complicit in it. But this is where Saleh or Douglas or whoever the heck has authority over the OC these days needed and still needs to put their foot down.

 

Why does every FO regime end up at the same "who's really in charge?" stage?

Rodgers now has a sprained left knee and sprained left ankle if reports are to be believed. So now his dominant leg is the surgically repaired achilles. If they keep this up we'll be talking about trading for a QB at the deadline.

Saleh might’ve had a point on Rodgers pre-snap activities last week

Say what you want about Saleh but we should’ve had more possessions today. Getting the opponent to jump offsides once every 3 weeks is fun but you know what’s more fun- having more chances to score with the ball.

and when you are down 17 points you can’t walk up the field and snap it with 1 second left on the play clock. Let’s go it’s now or never. These kids want to play fast
