Name one single RB in history that gain yards running up the middle with this o-line. I'll wait. The o-line gets shoved backwards every running play for like the last 2 whole games. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
That OL has 3 1st round picks. Keith Carter has not been spoken fondly of by former players. I don’t thnk the problem or this team is the players at all.
Sad seeing Breece play like this. Looks checked out , zero buy-in. Used to be the one character guy you could rely on… now doesn’t seem to want it , doesn’t fight for the extra yard. Won’t be surprised if he requests a trade
The coaching staff needs to be blown up, though us doing that regularly seems to hurt us. Starts with poor ownership. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
I came here to say this. No one on offense seems happy. I think they all hate Hack and Carter. Some are trying to do what they can and some seemed checked out.
It's not even the coaches in general. It's the offensive coaches. This team would be 4-1 right now with LaFleur instead of Hackett.
Maybe. Maybe not. I lean more towards the maybe. But at the very least the offensive lineman would know who to block.
The offensive design was so inept against the Broncos and Vikings, which were both one score games, that I really think we'd be 4-1 with LaFleur.
It's funny how fickle fans are... the young talent is great, then the team plays with suckitude, & the young talent sucks. It's understandable that so many want to win NOW, but the brainlessness of buying into the PR crap (& delusion) of the team's PR frontman (Saleh), & the Woody factor we all know... come on. It was never all about QB play that caused the seasonal collapses. The players' names changed, but everything stayed the same. Young players wanted out. The team divided into factions. There is no discipline. And more importantly, no leadership. The AR legend just isn't strong enough to overcome the aging process. An offense that worked with a younger AR, NEEDS to be adjusted to the reality of his current physical limitations. Breece is still Breece. So is Saleh & the coaching staff. I've wondered if Breece is hurt, his explosion hasn't been there. But today, on that one run, he looked like Breece. It's the offense, not Breece. The blocking scheme. The team coaching, & of course the OC. Breece's game has never been power, that's why they drafted Allen. Why people are down on Breece for failing to pound it inside, is beyond me? His game is about his vision, & deceptive acceleration. I saw that today... on that one play. As long as they ignore his talents, & use him mainly as a power back, he'll continue to look like he's been neutered. You'll see Breece again, when a coaching staff designs plays suited to his strengths. Whether that's on the Jets remains to be seen... .
MLF had JAGS like Mike White and Josh Johnson looking like solid NFL QBs, and with significantly less talent than we allegedly have now. But, yeah, HE was the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ironic but so Jets that the one time they hired a half-decent OC, they paired him with the one QB who couldn't be coached up.
