Lots of Adams news. It sounds like he’s all but done with the Raiders and they want to move him its a logical move here. Say what you want about him but last week, down the stretch, Rodgers threw it up to nobody twice cause he wasn’t on the same page with the current receivers. That wouldn’t happen with Adams. might as well make the move before another season gets away
There is actually nothing logical at all about getting Davante Adams imo. At least until we fix the real underlying problem at play, and which certainly doesn't appear to be lack of overall talent on the current roster. Basically the equivalent of my tech challenged mother spending more on faster internet speed and thinking that's going to be the magic fix to a bad routing problem.
Yeah but Joe can draw up a new deal before they execute the trade... oh wait. Does he know he can do that?
I mean it sure feels like we have to TRY to bring him in but I'm not sure what offense we run with him here. Adams/Williams on the outside, Wilson in the slot? I don't really care what that means for Lazard but Rodgers clearly favors vet receivers.
It'll be a disaster with him here. There will be massive expectations for him and Rodgers to recapture their glory days in Green Bay and it'll be just one more dynamic that will begin to crumble when this thing begins to go completely sideways.
It was a disaster on Sunday without Davante here. Wilson is struggling to learn Rodgers's routes, DW knows them cold. The Jets at the very least are expected to make the playoffs with Davante in the fold those expectations are very attainable. Who knows how long AR will be here, go all in now and reel in the big fish.
If he's not happy in Vegas, he's certainly not going to be happy here. He'll be going from one crap franchise to another. And Adams will tire quickly of Hackett's nonsense, I would have to believe. He won't have LaFleur or McCarthy drawing up stuff for him to do that will actually make an impact, he'll have the worst OC in the league having him do things that are most likely completely against his skill set, which is what he does for pretty much the rest of the players on the offense. Maybe it would work out, but I very much doubt it. It might be worth a try if we can just do a one-for-one trade Adams for Reddick. But if the price is a 2nd rounder plus additional compensation, as the report I saw states, then there's absolutely no way.
Really double-edged sword right now. You lose against the Vikings at 2-3 and head home after a long trip to face a Bills team that looks like they’ll roll right over this run defense. Then head out to another prime time game in Pittsburgh where we never win. 2-4/2-5 isn’t crazy and then you’ve traded another second round pick+ for a one year rental. We’re then down to a 1 and a late 3 next year.
Can he tackle or block? He isn't the answer to the Jets problems, I don't get the obsession with this guy, he'll be a chief more than likely
It won't change a thing. This team will be committing as many penalties, Hackett's playcalling will be as predictable and dumb, the defense will still have only Plan A. Just a waste of draft picks and a future salary cap hell.
No...no....no...noooooooooooooooooo!!!! It isn't going to make them coached any better. Hell, penalties is a yardage group with this team. The lack of commitment that this coaching staff displays, especially game plans and the management of such, is below sub par. Find the bottom of the barrel, keep digging and you'll find this group of coaches. Especially the HC. A 2 year old could call the game with more creativity. Ridiculous.
