I haven't paid for Sunday ticket for the past few years and have only watched Jets primetime games, so I've missed many. It was refreshing to watch a Jets game last night and feel for the first time in quite a while that (a) the Jets were the better team and (b) they were prepared and they played like it ( although still need to clean up penalties and left some points on the board that were there for the taking) and (c) they were largely in control of the game from very early until the end with no real "oh shit here we go again" moments and (d) the expectation was that the offense was likely to score on the upcoming drive. -- Very early but very promising IMO
It was the first NYJ game I felt truly proud of in many years, as a fan. That's not an exaggeration either.
Refreshing is the right word here. Finally a good team with a good QB. Let’s hope injuries don’t ruin this promising season.
I still can't wipe the smile off my face from last night. And for ONCE we had a home field advantage without 30-40% of opposing fans flooding MetLife.
Felt so strange watching our TE's actually be part of the passing game. For a moment, I was wondering who those guys were wearing Jet unis.
I live in 49'er/Raider country and, for the first time in a very long time, I wore my Jets t-shirt and was proud to do so. Out doing errands and actually got TWO people comment on how good they looked last night. That NEVER happens! Can't speak for the team but I know I'm in uncharted territory and it feels GREAT!
