Well we exorcised a bunch of demons tonight, but man I will NEVER get tired of seeing the Pats drubbed like that…for all those times those fuckers kept running up the score on us, with Brady passing all day long with huge leads in the 4th quarter…fuck that team! There are two teams in this league that I just absolutely HATE and will never tire of seeing them lose…the Pats and the Cowboys. Man those teams could go 0-17 year after year and that would never get old to me. The Pats have been such bad sports and such cheaters, and they were treated as if they were the gold standard…and they especially piled on and on against us, so man this was satisfying….I was really hoping we wouldn’t give up that late TD and we didn’t…that was good. Very satisfying win…we’ll need to keep it up against tougher competition but I will enjoy this win for sure…we haven’t seen QB play like that since what, Vinny? Penny?
400+ yards of offense 40:00+ TOP 0 turnovers 0 TD allowed 7+ sacks No other NFL team in the Super Bowl era has done all of that in a game. -courtesy of OptaSTATS
It was total domination…honestly the score makes it look closer than it was…should have been 34-3 or something like that
Not a good thing. But Sherwood is coming of age. He was a developmental player that has really come on now. Mosely's experience and Quinton and Sherwood flying around is definitely a good thing
Seriously. I was saying that all game. So this is what a real qb looks like. Very strange in a jets uniform . I love how he is displeased at every play that doesn’t work out.
savor the w, ye fukkleheads. u deserve that. the utter irrelevance of the pats is a godsend after 2 decades of false beli worship, Bradyville bullshit. the streak is over!!! Brook...u really got a boner for Saleh, eh? 2 of youse predicted a large jet win, well done! our remaining 3 games v Pats/Fins now look almost w's in the bag... hmm...
I just wonder how long it's going to take me to stop freaking out every time 8 leaves the pocket...PTSD is a MF'er
Last night the stadium was roaring. On the way in they passed out these wrist band lights. Then, just before the Jets made their introduction the lights went out and the wrist lights went green. During the National anthem each level in the stadium went a different color red, white, and blue. obviously synchronized through Bluetooth the light effects were cool but a little eerie considering what happened in Lebanon.
Apparently Saleh is asking offense to give defense a 2 score lead and challenging offense for that. And Rodgers finally says there goes your 2 score lead. But honestly it was an awkward 2 seconds on the screen. Glad it is nothing.
It's so much more fun. I don't hold my breath and brace for catastrophe every time my QB drops back. It feels like something is wrong, but this is what it's like when you have a real QB! And I would say competent is an understatement. To me, he looked like an elite QB last night with shades of that same play in the first two weeks too. If he's healthy, he's a Pro Bowler
Last night, you really got a sense of Rodgers' talent for the position. Over his career, we mostly didn't see him play very much unless you were a GB fan in disguise. How many times have you heard a criticism of a QB that he has bad footwork. Watching Rodgers operate out there, he's like a dancer. His feet are pointed in all different directions when he throws (bad footwork?) yet his throws are accurate and with power. How does he do that? Even Brady was a set the feet and throw QB. The only other guy I can think of who can throw like that is Mahomes and maybe Favre, which is probably where he learned to do it. Quite remarkable.
I gotta say, Drake Maye didn't look nearly as bad as I was hoping he would last night. He looked like a guy that knew how to move the chains if he had time.
IDK if hes always that accurate but holy sh#t, some of those throws were sick--like that 3rd down throw while rolling right to a TE (dont recall if it was 83 or 89). Perfect placement. That throw has been there for years for us--just didn't have the guy to make it. I think we're in a unique position to appreciate thrown ball position as we've seen such a lack of it for years. I don't think our receivers were for the most part getting more open than usual. Rather 1. Rodgers extended plays and kept his eyes downfield and hit the guy gaining separation 2. Placed the ball perfectly for receivers to make the catch and even gain YAC Also its obvious Rodgers and Garrett are still a work in progress--man when they get it figured out its going to be a circus out there! Pray for AR good health!!
was watching the game with my son, and we just kept saying stuff like that …Man, so THIS is what it feels like to actually have a QB! We haven’t had that since literally Penny …. We had a bit for 15 games with Fitzmagic and then of course that last Buffalo game. But it’s so odd to watch the Jets and see so many completions…and it’s the combo of not just a strong arm, but his accuracy…that TD to GW was insane…just past the DB. He hits guys on the run, not like Zach who would throw a yard behind them or at their knees or a yard over their heads. And then the pre snap recognition…he knows exactly where to go with the ball. He holds or moves the LB and S with his eyes. It’s just so unusual for us to watch…like ok we are in third and long, and instead of watching our QB struggle to throw a 3 yard pass on 3rd and 8, AR actually makes the right throw for 17 yards. Crazy. I loved every single minute of last night’s game, and more so because it was against the fucking Pats. For SO long they’ve run up the score on us, they’ve cheated against everyone, from Brady’s deflategate to Belichicks spygate…they’ve been held up as some kind of gold standard when they’ve been a fucking cheating shit team, and I will never get tired of watching them lose. Only week 3, but man we needed that kind of win, especially in division and more especially against the Pats. First time we’ve beaten them at home since 2015. That is CRAZY. Now a mini break, hope Moses and CJ come back and let’s go kick Denver’s ass…
He made some good throws. He also nearly threw at least one pick and was indecisive. Looks like somebody who could move the ball but also give it up
Have to remember it was garbage time. Jets had their D reserves on the field. Not sure if the Pats did, but they probably did.
