First team to do it in regulation, but the Rams did it in a game in 1989 against the Vikings that went into OT. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...l-history-to-score-3-tds-allow-0-tds-and-lose
I just thought of the same thing and googled it. Looks like Arch is not eligible for 2025 draft. He will be eligible for 2026 Draft earliest.
They also went for a 4th and 3 or 4 on one of their opening possessions instead of kicking a 20 yard field goal. I just don’t get why coaches chase points in the first half.
Analytics are crushing Sirriani for not going for it on 4th and 3 to win the game instead of kicking the FG as well. Awful L for them.
That seems particularly obvious if they had run on 3rd and 3. Even with only a couple of yards then, the tush push would pretty much guarantee a first down. If it works you win the game, and if it doesn't, you burn almost 40 seconds off the clock. Sirianni claimed that they didn't run on third down because the Falcons were jamming up the middle, but then why not run to the outside? Unless the play is blown up completely, it will still leave a reasonable fourth down play (if you don't get the first down), and if it is blown up, you kick the FG anyway. The fourth down call is particularly odd because Sirriani goes for it on fourth down more than anybody. Meanwhile, they're 2-7 in their last 9 games, and their defense has given up almost 400 total yards per game, third-worst in the NFL (another reason to go for it on fourth down, by the way). The seat is definitely going to start getting warm for him if they don't turn it around.
With the Jets, "I. AM. A. LEFT. TACKLE!!!" With Philly, “I said to him, 'Mekhi, there’s an opportunity here in the spring to maybe get a week of playing some guard,’” Stoutland said Saturday. “And he goes, ‘Really?’ I said yeah, and he goes, ‘Let's go! Let's do it!
Idk about Sirianni's seat being warm but if it is, that's great. I'm not even the biggest Saleh hater but if Sirianni's out there you sent Saleh packing immediately and upgrade there
