STOP BUYING IT STOP GOING TO GAMES stop spending your hard earned money on this shitshow or it will never change. Look at all the past Jets players who go to another team and light it up. It happens time and time again yet most players we draft turn out to be busts. Yes we have hit every now and then but then again we win every off-season so what do you expect? We all know it starts from the top and until that changes you can't expect anything more than winning the off-season. How many drives? How many drives? Do we have to run the ball twice and then throw a pass (or run) on third down and 10 or 20 after a penalty. How many times will we win the coin toss and defer. How many times will we get a turnover and then go three and out. I mean we traded for a future Hall of Fame quarterback and we keep running the ball. If we make a big play on defense, the other team gets bailed out by a BS penalty. It never ever ends. Every year we get our hopes up and every year we get them dashed enough is enough. I have been watching this team since 1995 and we have had exactly 2 years of a fun offensive scoring team. SAVE YOUR MONEY SAVE YOUR MONEY
Normally I would say this Is premature.. It's been 14-15 years since we've seen the playoffs.. With this team... Premature shouldn't exist.
Calm down man. Down 10-7 at the half to Tennessee they might win this one still. I saw the Darnold highlight. It's still very early into this season.
I agree. We have seen this shit show year after year. We are not fooled. Yes, they won today, but they did not look impressive at all. Watch them lose to the Pats this Thursday. Pats are not a pushover. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
That's almost a guarantee, this team only won 2 more games all season, if it was against the Patriots, I'd be satisfied
They definitely are not. The same people who kept on and on about how the Jets were "elite" and "Super Bowl bound" are the same ones feeding the narrative that the Patriots are a team on the level with the Giants and Panthers. They're not. And they're strength, running the ball, fits perfectly against the biggest (among many) weakness the Jets have.
I liked your post JetsFan because I have been posting the same for years…and I am a fan since 1968 and before ugh OTOH there is just this powerless feeling you aquire like a chronic illness as long as you root for this team because nothing gets set straight nothing gets fixed corrected . And yes paying the vendors and giving the Johnsons $ is like rewarding the Sadistic owners for fu#cling us over But when my son the Giant fan got me a new Jet sweatshirt and upfront asked me to take him to. Jet game at MetLife…where I swore on this Board I would never go to..I just caved in , and said yes. Why ??? cause my kid ,the bond I have with him, my family is my future and all I really really care about . I bought mezz seats for Denver at home..,yikes So sorry to lose on my pledge…but for one game I gain on stuff that matters more than the dumb Johnsons and their grifting ugly scam
I have no clue what you guys are thinking. Jets have stunk for 14 years, before that they were very competitive for 10. Twice to nfc title game. You think the Johnsons got tired of winning? They want to win badly, they just don't nake good decisions. And I haven't personally attended any sporting event since the 2000 subway series. Why?.. my personal protest against the atrocious salaries. I can well afford to attend any game but I won't. I encourage everyone to stay home.
Are you suggesting that player salaries should be reduced, leaving more money in the pockets of the owners who "just don't make good decisions"?
Corporations make billions selling bags of garbage, no one's forcing the consumer to make the purchase...
By nature I am probably not harsh enough on this team and usually side towards the positive, which might be rare for anyone who's watched this team for 50+ years. Yesterday's start was the first time I thought about replacing Saleh had we lost. The first quarter of that came infuriated me. I was lining up candidates in my head, wondering how we could salvage the season. I like the guy, but how many times must we have a negative game and think that the coaching match-up was the reason why? That said, things did change, and the coaches must've changed things up to cause it. I want Breece to be fed too, but not throwing on first down ever, was killing them. A win is a win, so let's take it and hope things move positively from here. Also, is Rodgers deadly on those quick slants or what? We've never seen that.
Nope. Owners also make too much. I'm old and grew up in a simpler time. Mickey Mantle fought for a 100k salary after a great year, at which time a good salary for upper middle class was 10k. So, one of the all time great athletes made 10x a really good salary for a working person. Compare to today. Way too much money flowing to way too few individuals. Musk, whomever. They get what they can, no problem, but they get too much. So I choose not to support. Of course I'm banging my head against a wall. TV money has changed the sporting world forever. In my view, not for the best. But I do enjoy the ability watch what I want. A bit of hypocrisy on my part
