He’s gotta retire. His hands did the thing again.

That was Tuas fault 100%. Hamlin didn't even do much.

    Dolphins look awful regardless.

I guess. But I'd rather the Jets be a real condender and beat a good team that plays with there starting Qb.

It’s ridiculous ….. you’d think he’d be sliding by now. 4 concussions and he’s what 25 years old? If he was smart he’s retire but then again I said that after that Bengals game…….he’ll be back for more.

I had the game on but was looking at my phone. I heard his name mentioned and my head jerked up in surprise ….

Why did they cut Mike White again?

I fell asleep at halftime as Miami was getting smoked . See that Tua got another concussion. He needs to start thinking of the rest of his life at this point .

I was watching this game and thinking that Al Michaels has lost it. He sounds totally uninterested in anything and his voice barely changes when a big play happens or someone scores. Then the Tagovailoa injury happened. I think the TV guys decided not to show the thing with his contorted fingers on replay because it is so distressing, but it clearly happened.

Then Michaels said it was a good thing the Dolphins had ten days before their next game because Tua would have a chance to pass the concussion protocol. I thought that was a massively shortsighted thing to say in the circumstances. I think the guy should never play again. He's rich beyond his wildest dreams and he's on a path to permanent disability.

I know it isn't the biggest takeaway from last night's game, but Michaels just seems detached, somehow, like he's just going through the motions or doesn't really get it any more.

He’s basically become a bot in his advanced years…. I was saying a good 5 years ago he sounds completely bored and uninterested. I think he says these things simply because he doesn’t know what else to say at the moment. He should of hung it up a while ago but I guess he likes the money ….

Good post and I agree. But I will take some of the blame off of him and say that I think the Herbstreit/Michaels pairing is just awful. Herbstreit is a GREAT college football analyst both in the pregame show and the booth. It’s so strange to me that he is just so bad with pro football. It’s like two different guys.

I always felt like Collinsworth energized Michaels a lot about football. CC has always caught a lot of flack from fans but he calls a pretty exciting game.

Not for nothing either, but Amazon has a pretty shitty audio production. Its not just the fact that its streaming either.

Well now they’re going to have a season casualty…..I don’t know what their front office sees in this Thompson but White at least could have given them a jolt. Maybe not last night it was too late but certainly going forward…..

I dont think there's anything wrong with what Michaels said. Clearing the concussion protocol is supposed to mean the guy is ready to play. If Tua clears it, which was in his comment, then he is fine. He wasn't saying he should play if he's not clear.

if you got a problem with the protocol take that up with the NFL, or maybe this sport isn't for you.

Commentators speculating about the end of a man's career/livelihood would be really over the top IMO, I actually prefer the positive take there
