I see that my "Robert Saleh is the problem" thread inspired many other "problem" threads. To keep the tradition going hear me out please. My spirits are dead thanks to abysmal performance from Jets last night. I feel like I am the problem. I signed up to this board after our back to back AFC championship games and since I joined this board we have no play off trips. I demand @Petrozza and @Cman68 to ban me or better yet delete my Brook! account to so I can sign up with another handle to break the curse. Yes folks. Brook! is the problem and solution is in the hands of my bosses Petro and Cman.
It can't be a jinx if the expectations of a different outcome were never actually real or very grounded to begin with. Outside the click chasing hype train the 2024 Jets were never anything more then a potential bubble playoff team on paper. The defense, while very good, is not as generational good as many on this board like to prop it up as (especially after subtracting on last year's pass rush). Last night *IS* what what better QB looks like in the Hackett offense, and outside a Madden video game setting was never going to realistically make the jump from historically bad and league worst to league average. Not with a past his elite prime and 40yo version of a much less mobile Aaron Rodgers. The Jets lost a game last night to the arguable best *REAL* 2024 Super Bowl contender in the NFL. A game they were 100% *SUPPOSED* to lose, and which 8/10 probably would never even end up being very competitive with the overall talent/coaching gap that does indeed exist no matter how much fans wish it wasn't so. There is no juju magic fix to that either. But the Jets are still par for the 2024 hopeful course heading into a more winnable game in week 2. If you subtract all seasonal expectations that have to always be build on a mountain of koolaid chugging wishcasts, there really hasn't been a reason to legitimately believe in the different outcome since those back to back AFC championships. Brook, chill baby... they were never SB contenders think about the fact that they really didn't play in preseason at all... will the get better, I hope so, but like you i have no faith in the HC or OC. If the team is 1-4 then he sgould be fired and the DC should be named as HC.

In 2010 the NY Jets played in the AFC Championship game. In 2011 @Brook! joined TGG. The Jets haven't been to the playoffs since. Coincidence?... I think not.
