This defense sure talks a lot for that kind of performance

Not good . But when the Jets offense only had 21 mins of possession it’s bad news for majority of the team’s defense.

Sure it would have been nice to make stops like they did in first two possessions or creative a TO. Need a much improvement next game.

That wasn’t exactly Montana, Rice, and Roger Craig out there either

Brock Purdy and a backup RB made this defense look pathetic

no more talking. Win something first please

But that's the only thing this team is good at.

The defense was getting gashed well before fatigue should have been a problem. I don't think this is a game where offensive ineptitude caused the defense to break from fatigue, its a game where the defense's ineptitude (letting up long drives) limited the offense's opportunities.

Saleh was “happy with where we’re at”, coming into the 3rd. I think that pretty much tells us all we need to know. They got destroyed all 2nd qtr, and he’s content with it. That’s not a head coach

Why was Sauce off the field for 9 plays at the end of the first half?

They said it was non injury related?

Our genius head coach Saleh said he was winded down and took himself out of the game.

The explanation was that Sauce took himself out of the game because he was "winded".

Again it would have been nice to have couple of stops. This was a game on order for the Jets to win was to win both ball control and less mistakes . A fumble loss. An interception. A quick couple of 3 and outs will not get the job done to one of the top teams in NFL. Yeah defense is not the same it was the last couple of years. IMO how far the z jets go will be solely on how Rodgers and the offense control the game. They need to do better to sustain drives.

He got popped. I have no issue with him not being on the field if he knew he wasn't right. Its football. Ya get hit sometimes where ya need a few to recollect. Physical sport. Was glad to see him come back and it wasn't serious.

If I were an eternal optimist, I would say this is first time/first game rust but the past is prologue for this Team

The CS the owner is trash and not to be trusted, From what I understand the GM traded away his defensive line and "improved " our OL..lmao

Consider this>>>>> Brock Purdy the last player picked in the draft and his running back was an unknown, but the SF Coaching Staff knows how to build a winning Team

The Jets are just DUMB top to bottom

Right on. The explanation given for TV when you have to say something was "winded" but he clearly got banged pretty hard on that tackle and needed to let the butterflies clear. We're probably lucky he only missed a few plays at the end of the half. He's a good player but putting his shoulder into oncoming freight trains isn't exactly the ideal way to deploy his skills. Got it done when he had to though.

The Morning After, and I am still furious with the performance of this defense. To constantly thump your chest about being "Elite" and then allowing a third string RB to run all over you like that is beyond pathetic.

And it is not even because they lost the game! Baltimore lost to Kansas City, does anyone here doubt their defense?

Not like the 49ers OL are the best in the league either. Though their offensive scheme always churns out productive backs. So many guys look great in that scheme so I wasn't necessarily surprised Mason played well. But he shouldn't have played THAT well...

Defense has some holes to fix

This one thing from a young all-pro speaks volumes about the team culture. None of that, "fight for the man next to you dog mentality at all." Or. Selah thre his best player under the bus. Either way, not a good look.

Most of us have played sports... or at least gotten punched in the gut and have experienced that. If the guy had to step out due to getting the "wind knocked out", there are WAAAAY more important things to be concerned about...

Like how fucking shitty the run defense has become after letting 2 guys walk....
