Haven’t posted in a while but I’m always lurking … I first want to say I hope everyone is doing well. I really do think this is the best team forum/message board in the NFL … If there’s one thing the Jets have taught us over the years is that football is obviously secondary to real life. Not a profound statement at all, but man do the they always bring you back to cold hard reality when you’re just looking for a quick 3 hour escape. I’m totally disgusted with this team as we all have been for years/decades. Salah has never been the answer and that is painfully obvious to everyone except the owner (as usual)… Joe D looks inept , etc etc . No need to pile on at this point , we can all see the same bleak picture …. We *could* legitimately win the next 4 games in a row yet we all know it will still amount to another year with no championship which at this point is truly all that matters so it’s another year pissed away in the gutter of NYJ football and it’s only September 10th. But like I said, that’s not what really matters. I’m going to Nashville with the old man next week. We’ve been to hundreds of Jets games together and going to games is our tradition, which is what I really love about this team and game. Looking forward to great quality time with the old man. I went to Nashville about 13 years ago but was working in the recording studio almost the whole trip so I barely got to see Nashville. This time it’s pure vacation and enjoyment (interrupted by a Jets game on Sunday). Feel free to chime with any and all Nashville recommendations. Looking for good drinks, food and music. I have a couple musician friends who recommended a few spots but I’d love to hear from fellow Jets fans how they’ll be enjoying the trip. Wishing anyone who travels a safe trip and a great time . Cheers
I have a buddy who goes when the Gators play Vanderbilt.. ..as an excuse to party. He always has a good time... Have fun
Enjoy Nashville my friend. Last year I booked my trip to Dallas and got the game ticket during summer and Rodgers got hurt. My trip to Dallas turned out a bust. They put 30+ on us. This year I said I will wait to book my trip. After last night's showing I lost all my appetite to go to Nashville. I was looking forward to exploring town but it didn't happen. You go ahead and enjoy.
Fun town! Go off Broadway and check out some of the side streets for music and some cheaper-priced drinks.
I’ve got an AirBnB with the wife and in-laws over in East Nashville this weekend, so my recs will be skewed to that side of town. Bars/Breweries: The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club (2905B Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN) (good mocktail selection) Noble’s Kitchen & Beer Hall (974 Main St., Nashville, TB) (Break Room-Upstairs) Rosemary & Beauty Queen (1102 Forest Ave., Nashville, TN) Martha My Dear (2503 Gallatin Ave., Nashville, TN) Southern Grist Brewing Co. Wife and daughter are here with me we are at the Omni. Our son lives here 4 of us going to Gotham crews tailgate and game. Still no tickets. Hope prices come down. lots of jets fans around.
Stadium is right next to downtown broadway (main road). You can walk across the bridge to get to that side where the bars are after the game. The city is alive and kicking, I was there in July and it was packed everywhere, all day, all night, every day of the week.
