And yet we didn’t give Breece a single spell in the game until after Tyrod was in the game. Not one designed play to Corley. Breece looked slow as hell against that D. A dose of power was exactly what was called for. Tyler Conklin??? Invisible. The plan was seriously Breece, Lazard, and Wilson or bust? That’s the extent of the creativity we have in our coaching rooms?
Like I put in the Hackett thread a minute ago, they schemed Conklin out of the play every time by running him in motion out to the numbers on a flat route. Made no sense.
As it turns out, Aaron Rodgers isn't our offensive coordinator. Still Hackett! Rodgers didn't fix anything in this game.
Yeah, but it's the one game we've been seeing for four years. It's the one game we told we would win if we just had a good QB. It's one game that we just got blown out in because the playcalling was so bad that even Aaron Rogers couldn't do anything with it.
I mean, Hackett is just absolutely brutal. Forget personnel - just like the last few years, the Jets seem enamored with being in 3rd and long as often as possible. Sent from my SM-F956U1 using Tapatalk
Agree the personnel substitutions for some plays didn’t make sense. Time to make adjustments. Need Mike Williams in the game. Football is all about making adjustments in the game, and before the next game. Getting to to fire mode is silly’s
They didn't have the ball enough to get into a rhythm or to run enough plays to get everyone involved? It seemed like the 49ers defense was on the field for most of the night. That's the story of the game I think. How the 49ers offense manhandled our supposedly very good defense.
Oh I got plenty of complaints there too. But I’m not gonna ignore the fact there’s also 6 other gaping holes on our sinking ship. We were so poorly prepared. Completely and totally unprepared.
49ers defense on the field most of the night? Not sure what you mean. Time of possession was almost 2-1 in favor of the 49ers meaning the Jets defense were in the field for nearly 40 minutes.
Well, at least now we know that even a future HOF QB isn't enough to overcome the awfulness that is Hackett.
Hackett even had a quote to this effect last year. "We need to do a better job of getting to third and manageable." No smart OC thinks that way. It's a totally antiquated way of running an offense. The goal should be to avoid third down altogether. Put aside the fact that we're encountering third and long too often - it's disheartening that Hackett isn't even aiming for the correct solution to that. Getting to third and manageable isn't a win.
He grew up with the king of 3rd and 15 draw plays. Nate Hackett is like the slow-witted doofus version of his father.
the 2024 draft picks had little to no impact last night fashanu didn't play corley? i dont know if he played or not Allen 1 carry and 1 catch in garbage time Davis nothing Stiggers nothing
I'm assuming you mean Braelon Allen? Yeah I thought he'd be used more in some of those short yardage scenarios, but when your offense can barely move the ball, I get it. I just wish the Jets would be more creative in short yard situations. 2 point conversions should never just be a run up the middle into the heart of the defense.
