Saw that--Eagles didnt give up much but Dotson salary is high due to being overdrafted.

Also see Randy Gregory was released from Tampa--head case for sure but at league minimum salary he may be better Edge defender than anyone we got on the roster right now. Would be very unjetslike to pick him up tho.

Who knows what was happening behind closed doors but on the surface they just traded away a talented WR for not too much to a division rival no less.

You have a #2 overall pick franchise QB just named the starter and one of your next moves is trading away a talented former 1st round WR. Seems like a bad team move to me. You should be stacking the skill players and OL around that guy, not trading them for future draft picks

If you look at it another way, Daniels might’ve not liked playing with him or the way he ran routes and what not and they made the move on behalf of him.

I always heard Dotson was a good kid at Penn State so I doubt it was any diva stuff.

What evidence is leading you to conclude he's talented? Is it because of his draft position? His NFL combine assessment put him at could be an average starter and there was no love in Washington. So where are you getting this talented thing from?

I'm assuming you mean talented beyond a 3rd for a 5th draft pick flip.

Could be. We don't what led to it yet. I also liked Dotson as a prospect a couple years ago. And now beyond Terry McLaurin, they have one of the worst groups of receivers in the NFL. Not ideal for breaking in your rookie franchise QB. But only time will tell if Dotson could have been part of the solution or if I'm underestimating their current WR core

He was the 16th overall pick 3 years ago. That alone indicates talent. Also, I liked him as a prospect coming out and thought he flashed in his first couple years in the NFL.

Yeah--so your evidence is where he was selected in the draft. Now the latest evidence based upon a trade says he is worth about a net 4th round pick. How come you retain your conclusion based upon 3 year old data but ignore yesterdays data?

Where he was selected in the draft, the flashes he showed in his first 2 years, and that I liked him as a prospect.

Based on that trade, clearly Washington doesn't value him anymore. I have no idea why. My point was given what I know, it's surprising. But maybe we'll learn more about what happened in time. It'll be telling to see how he does on Philly.
