OCs with the last name Hackett are under the impression that downfield passing is illegal in the NFL.
Martinez where in the hell were you throwing the ball? You had a WR rwide open and you threw it 10 yards behind him right to a DB.
Crap, almost another interception! He's not anticipating and leading the WRs. He's throwing it behind them.
The new KO runs are crap. Kick it out of the end zone and they get it at the 30. Kick it short of the 20 they get at at the 40. Ridiculous.
Nice throw, Martinez! NOT... that should have been a TD. You could have also run the ball in. You suck, Martinez!
I'm gonna go from thinking the Jets should keep one or both of Peasley and Martinez, to neither. They haven't looked good tonight. The Panthers definitely look improved, but I don't think they're that good.
He's a fourth or fifth stringer who's not even supposed to make the practice squad. Go easy on the guy.
Kick it between the goal line and 20, and teams will have to earn the 30. It could be interesting once the regular season starts and ST coordinators show their hand. They predicting 50% more returns which I’m in favor of. The surprise onside kick completely eliminated tho unfortunately.
Surprise onside kicks almost never happened anyway. At least now kickoffs will hopefully be entertaining and not get as many guys injured.
Thanks. I checked out the rules and the onside kick is allowed in the 4th qtr and only by the trailing team. The trailing team has to announce that they are trying an onside kick and it goes by the old rules.
I know, but I'm competitive and want them to score TDs when the opportunities are there. He has a lot of experience. I wonder if the Jets have told him to just stay in the pocket tonight, because he's been holding it too long in the pocket, when he could have run the ball a couple of times and given the team a spark.
He'll be a perfect addition to Hackett's scheme. It's just a natural extension of the Hackett method of not running any routes past the sticks on third down.
