Man, I remember that draft with such frustration! Ed Reed at S which was a position of need and we pass him up to take Thomas. Mind you, I realize DE is a much more premium position than S, more so in today’s game than 20 something years ago, but still. We take an unknown type out of a small school and pass on the stud player from a huge program. And it was absolutely the wrong move. Reed turned into a hall of famer and Thomas, while he eventually became a decent enough player, was never a difference maker
