I can recall a time when the preseason games were an event people wanted to attend. Back when there was a season ticket wait-list, the preseason games were an opportunity to get to see them live. The first Jets game I begged to be taken to was Raiders Jets at Yankee Stadium of all places. The rookie Richard Todd shanked a 6 yard punt and was never asked to do it again. Namath watched from the sidelines, and i was thrilled just to see him standing around through binoculars. The other highlight that night was the new Yankee Stadium video board - if you want to call it that. So primitive by today's standards, but back then to see any type of motion video image was special.
Just got back from NY a couple of days ago. I would have taken them in a second. Thank you for your offer to the Jets fan base, Good luck this season. It will be worth it.
