I hope we don't keep Rodgers on the sidelines during Preseason games. I would love to see him play in each pre-season game gradually increasing his play time.
I doubt it. He might play a series or two in one of the games but there is a good chance you won't see him play until SF. These guys get their reps and work in during practices. It seems like many teams don't play their starters now. Wasn't it during Covid when preseason was cancelled if I remember correctly.
It doesn't look like he'll play in the preseason games. I think he should play at least two series, just to do it again. Run "safe" plays with starters blocking in front of him. He must have a lot of rust to shake off whether he realizes it or not. I believe if left up to him, Aaron would choose to play a little. But he won't, and I'll be pissed off when they fumble a snap or have something stupid cause a turnover in week one. We're all accustomed to seeing "something weird" that puts us in a hole
A series or 2 in the preseason wont shake off enough rust to matter so why risk it? Its unlikely that a couple misreads or botched snaps in game one will end the season unless it leads to another injury.
Ive been on the who cares train this year but at the same time if they can't get the snaps right it seems like it might be a better idea to play him and get that right before things are real
My fear is that, if he was having problems with the snaps last year and it's persisted into this year, then it's not something that's going to be fixed. We're just going to have to live with a certain number of botched snaps a game and just hope that it doesn't lead to too many turnovers or, even worse, injuries.
