Pokrass: Rodgers starts a move the ball period with a short gain on a run for Breece Hall. After a false start from Tyron Smith(even the best make mistakes), Rodgers throws one away. Not extensive pressure on the play, but the secondary was lock down. Rodgers finds Wilson in a hole on third down to make it fourth an manageable. Great snag from Wilson, who reached up to grab it from his knees. He then converts by finding Conklin on a strike to get the offense deep in the red zone. On first and goal, Isaiah Davis goes for a short gain. He then gets the ball again for another short gain to make it third and goal from the 3 and 1/2 yard line. He then hits Lazard for a touchdown, who beat MCII on his route, to end practice. Great drive from the offense.
Faria: Allen Lazard ends practice by beating MC2 for a TD. Second straight day he ends with a score. #Jets Rosenblatt: Jets practice ends (again) with Aaron Rodgers throwing a TD pass to Allen Lazard. (Video: Credit @horusnhigh)
Rosenblatt: I had Aaron Rodgers completing 9 of 11 passes in 11 on 11 drills and 4 of 4 in 7 on 7. Great day for No. 8. #Jets
@LetsTalkJets: Garrett great catch from his knees (Video) Rodgers > Conklin (Video) I don't like this fake (Video) TD Lazard to end practice (Video)
Sabo: Red zone teams now, I.Davis takes a turn from Rodgers (goal line attempt). Practice ends on the next play, a Lazard TD from AR, for the second straight day (a Rodgers-Lazard being in-tuned together-type reception/score). #Jets
Hughes: On 4th & 5 Rodgers finds Conklin for 15-yard gain to move chains in drive-the-field drill. Have said this multiple times: Conklin will have a huge year as long as Rodgers is on field. He’s his safety net & so good in middle of field. Would buy his stock. #Jets The drive-the-field drill ends with an Aaron Rodgers touchdown to Allen Lazard. Five-yard out. This was a very, very good practice for the offense. #Jets
Faria: Day 2 is over. Some takeaways: - Biggest winner today was Takk McKinley. By far NY’s best defensive player. Recorded 3 sacks by my count. - Garrett Wilson dominated DJ Reed today and it wasn’t even close. - Aaron Rodgers had time in the pocket and was surgical today. - Max Mitchell and Tyron Smith were noticeable in how great they played. Really encouraging signs. #Jets
Hughes: #Jets QB Aaron Rodgers was 13 of 16 with a touchdown in practice today. He was 9 of 12 with the TD in the 11-on-11 portion of practice. He went 3 of 4 with a TD in the drive-the-field drill, highlighted by the 4th & 5 conversion to Conklin & TD to Allen Lazard. Rodgers dealt.
Faria: For #Jets fans that have demanded more accountability on the field, you are seeing that in practice. Players are being pulled for making mistakes and having to sit because of it. Good message that we’ll ask Robert Saleh about more.
Big thanks for posting these updates @KY Jets Fan ! Awesome work with the formatting of posting the tweets (Xs?) too
Maybe some old tweets from last year will slow my roll here, but this seems like a huge and welcome shift from Saleh. Potentially could show his ability to grow and adapt. Great sign
Thanks friend! It's still not ideal, I really wish they'd go back to how it used to be so I can just post the link in here and *poof* the tweet pops up but it'll have to do for now. Thanks Elon!
Like you, I might be proven wrong but I don't remember things like this happening over the past few years, especially with vets. Wish he'd have done this from the start but better late then never!
It's the usual media stuff that comes out every year to make us get excited over essentially nothing.
Great question. Only thing I can think of is I did notice a few people say how much longer Rodgers has had in the pocket over these first 2 days compared to last year. Very small sample size though and obviously they're not going full-tilt either so it'll be interesting to see how/if this changes when the pads come on.
