Pokrass: Could fly under the radar with the team’s other RBs, but I’ve really liked what Cohen has showed. The explosiveness is still there, and his route running looks crisp. If not the Jets, definitely think he deserves a shot somewhere this year.
Pokrass: After a special teams intermission, back to 11-on-11. Rodgers makes changes at the line and hits Breece on a quick pass. Made someone miss and would’ve taken it for a good gain. Next play is Rodgers hitting Conklin for a quick gain. Rodgers finished his series by hitting Wilson across the middle. Fit it between multiple defenders. With a missed tackle, Wilson might have taken it all the way. #Jets
Rosenblatt: Aaron Rodgers hasn’t had a bad throw today. He’s dealing. Hughes: It’s ridiculous watching Aaron Rodgers practice #Jets
Faria: Tyron Smith looks like he’s going to be an All-Pro again. #Jets haven’t had a tackle like this in decades.
Hughes: Aaron Rodgers & #Jets offense just worked a third-down drill. Needed 3, 5, then 10 for first downs. - First down pass to Hall - First down, needle-threading pass to Conklin (will have huge season with Rodgers) - First down Garrett Wilson
Faria: Arguably the biggest difference from last year’s camp is that Rodgers has been operating from a clean pocket on almost every pass. A reason why the ball hasn’t hit the ground. #Jets Guys… Qwan’tez Stiggers is really good. Couldn’t tell if he stayed in bounds but he just picked off another pass. #Jets Takk McKinley just recorded his third sack today. Holy hell he might’ve secured a roster spot today. #Jets
Rosenblatt: Breece Hall caught a pass from Aaron Rodgers and then juked Quincy Williams out of the way for a nice gain. #Jets Max Mitchell has been doing a good job today. Been winning his battles with Micheal Clemons, keeping him off Rodgers. #Jets Takk McKinley has been dominating the backup offensive tackles today. He got to Andrew Peasley basically as he got the ball just now. #Jets
Hughes: Aaron Rodgers is 9-of-9 passing today. More impressive is only three completions were short. He’s dealing. Highlight the long one to open practice to Garrett Wilson. The one incompletion a DPI on Reed. #Jets
Sabo: Back to teams, Rodgers to Breece, who makes the heat-seeking middle known as Quincy miss (over-pursue). Next play, AR finds Conklin, perfectly placed, outside shoulder with T.Adams leveraged inside. Catch and wrap for 5-6 yards. Last play of the rotation is a big GW completion. He got separation from MC2 (his area/responsibility/read), something that rarely happens. Big time RAC play.
Pokrass: Extremely noticeable too. Defense is winning at times, but the OL is much better compared to previous years already. Highlight from the Tyrod series is Stiggers almost making a leaping interception. Stayed in the hip pocket of the receiver the whole route and almost makes a big play. Continuing a great start to the summer. First play of Rodgers’ next series is a quick pass to Wilson that is broken up by Sauce. Great break and play on the ball by the CB After a Lazard drop across the middle of the middle of the field, Rodgers finds Ruckert on a quick slant across the middle. The TE has been targeted multiple times today.
Faria: Second time John Simpson has jumped offsides and been replaced today. #Jets Pokrass: One of the #Jets new additions has been a bit jumpy today
Faria: Sauce Gardner gets the better of Garrett Wilson with a deflection. Great coverage. #Jets First drop of camp from Allen Lazard for what would’ve been a first down. #Jets Looks like Xavier Gipson came off limping on the play as well. One player that deserves a shoutout today is Max Mitchell. Has been excellent in pass protection and stuffed a spin move from Will McDonald. Very good stuff. #Jets
Sabo: Back to AR teams 11v11: Filthy Sauce coverage against GW. Rodgers gave him a chance, in rhythm, ball placed in numbers, but Sauce snags the clean PD. Smothering coverage. After a dead-ball foul, AR looks for Lazard (intermediate, near middle of field), and he can’t come up with it. A little low, could have easily had it though. A play later, Rodgers finds Ruckert quickly. Read the D pre-snap and knew it’d be there. It was. #Jets
Hughes: I’ve been told for 11 years how much the defensive line is at an advantage in padless practices. It does not look that way with Tyron Smith. #Jets
Hughes: Aaron Rodgers with back-to-back incompletions. His first two of practice. Sauce Gardner had really nice PBU on curl to Wilson. Allen Lazard dropped one over the middle. #Jets
Faria: And now Tyron Smith gets called for a false start and is replaced. Noone is above punishment here today. #Jets Garrett Wilson fell down, but still managed to stretch to make a catch. He’s been so good this camp so far. #Jets
