Rosenblatt: Breece Hall is working off to the side with trainers to start practice. #Jets Garrett Wilson getting some one on one time with WR coach Shawn Jefferson during ST drills. Aaron Rodgers (FYI, each of these are separate tweets)
Faria: Early in positional drills and AVT looks technically sound early on. So important that he’s healthy early in camp this year. #Jets
Rosenblatt: Olu Fashanu (74) paired up with Tyron Smith (77), his football hero, for a drill to start practice. #Jets
Staley: Mike Williams also off to the side Cimini: WR Mike Williams (PUP) is working off to the side. In the spring, he did his rehab indoors. So this is progress. #Jets
Faria: One thing I notice in individual drills is that Olu Fashanu plays a little higher than Tyron Smith. That’ll change as he develops but interesting to see the contrast early on. #Jets
Excellent way of putting this in perspective. Although I do care about the time he missed getting acquainted with the new players and establishing chemistry and getting in football shape.
Faria: Morgan Moses and AVT not a part of the first team srills of the year. Wes Schweitzer (G) and Max Mitchell (T) are the starters on the right side. #Jets First play of 11-11 work is a great 20-yard catch by Allen Lazard. Excellent job to go up and get a jump ball over the middle. #Jets #Jets using motion early and often on offense in 11 on 11 work. Two completions of over 10 yards too.
Quick check in on Mekhi Becton in Philly: Brooks Kubena (@BKubena): It’s officially training camp. Mekhi Becton threw up about four times along the sideline. Summer in Philly. , sorry...I had to lol
Sabo: Breece Hall isn’t fully practicing. He caught one in QB-receiver drills against air but is then sitting out a rotation or two. (Still coming back from the minor OTA bang-up he had.) #Jets It’s time for teams.
Rosenblatt: The first Aaron Rodgers pass of team drills: Completion to Allen Lazard. Diving catch. #Jets Morgan Moses and Alijah Vera-Tucker not participating in team drills. #Jets
Sabo: First play of teams, Aaron Rodgers places a high one to Lazard (middle area of field) against a zone. He seemed to look off the coverage before coming back to AL. Nice, high grab before falling to the ground. Could have been a safety thump, but not in this setting. Play two goes to Valladay on a secondary read (flat area), where AR did more eye work. Again, Valladay continues getting early team looks (similar to OTAs). Play three is a Breece rush. Play four is a Braelon Allen rush. (I’m not giving away the concepts, but both looked solid at the POA, especially Breece’s.) #Jets
