    Hello All,

UK Based Jets fan after some advice on this seasons road games.

My family and I are in Florida at the time of both road games @Dolphins & @Jags. We are more than likely to attend the Jags game as Dolphins tickets are looking way more expensive than the Jags one. I just wondered if people have been to watch the Jets in Florida or any Road game and what in general the vibe and travelling Jets fans are like? I only see passion from the Jets fans and we can’t wait. I will have my 3 kids with me coming to the game so wondered what to expect in terms of tailgating etc. A few questions but appreciate any advice and thought where else better to ask than here.

Hope to hear from some of you and maybe grab a beer in London or Florida for the games.

    Thank you!
    94Jet.

Hey bud. Welcome to our Message Board. We have plenty of posters from UK and I am sureyou can see many of them here in the below thread where we are discussing the London game. https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/its-london-week-5.100172/

To answer your question I have been to a few road games myself. First off in NFL games there is no assigned locations for each fan base. Fans from different teams sit together. There are assholes everywhere, especially when alcohol is involved but those are far and between. And unless you act like an asshole I don't think problem will find you. Besides, there will be tons and tons of Jets fans tailgating and will be in the stands with you. Say a Jags fan is acting like an asshole they will also help you handle the situation.

For tailgating try to look for private tailgates where you pay a fee and eat and drink with this tailgate. Google for Jaguars game and I am sure you will find Jets fans tailgates as well.

Enjoy your trip and I hope Jets win the game to send you guys home happy.

Jacksonville and Miami are pretty far away. I don't know where you are staying in Florida but if I was choosing I would choose the closer one there as the experiences are likely similar. There's usually strong attendance from Jets fans on the road, especially in the Florida games.

If you are flexible though, maybe you want to wait to buy tickets until midseason? Since those are December games you could try to bank on one of them having a poor record and if thats the case you could get tickets for very cheap

Try to stay somewhere other than Miami-Dade County.

Only Jets road games I have been to have been to Buffalo. It's about a 6-hour drive. If you wear Jets gear up there then be prepared for the comments and trash talking. Bills fans weren't shy about voicing their opinions of the Jets. It wasn't nice.

Only domestic road gameI attended was at Pittsburgh.

Steelhead fans will break your stones but are happy to see other team fans travel to their stadium.

Jets won at that game and we were in the car driving back to Jersey so don’t know how Steelhead fans would treat a visiting team fan that just beat them.

Might go again this year. The tailgate is Steelhead only owing to the fact they don’t have much parking around the stadium.

Seen them in both stadiums several times....
Like Nagle said, they're at opposite ends of the state (about a 6hr drive apart)... More JETS fans will be at the Miami game, but as a generality Miami fans are bigger assholes.
Either way, you'll be fine. Have a good time.
