Lol nothing new here. So what do we do extend to bolster our bullpen or stay pat. Learn to win and look towards next yeaqr
With this bullpen, I think they'll be learning to lose a lot more than learning to win. I think they should try what they can right now to improve it, and then see where they are in three or four weeks. Waiting to decide to be buyers or sellers will just make it more likely that they're sellers, and it's another 2+ years of crappy play.
Mets are 2-0 to start an 18-game run of games against four bad teams, ending on July 22. If they're 53-46 heading to the Stadium for the game on the 23rd, I'll be all in on going for it this season. If they're still a .500 team at that point, I believe that that shows that they're not for real. As I said in my previous post, I think that that requires them to try to address the bullpen now, not three weeks from now.
Two more bullpen losses (this time combined with no hitting), and the Mets continue to do nothing about it. The 16-4 streak was nice, but I think that they're settling back to what they actually are, which is a barely mediocre team.
Severino wasn't any good either, but you gotta love a bullpen that gives up not one, but two, grand slams!
