They really couldn't. For starters, the Jets don't seem to value the S position very much. Secondly, with little cap space and no 2nd round pick, that gave less opportunity. There's no way they were going to take a S in either the 1st or 3rd rounds. I really like Jaden Hicks in the 4th round, but the problem is that he is pretty much a SS prospect, and that's really what Clark and Davis both are. There were no really good FS prospects left at that point. They may like JBC, and Key, the UDFAs and maybe even Stiggers will have a shot at winning the #4 S spot on the roster. Stiggers is short on experience and not that fast, but he has great instincts, and is a true ballhawk and playmaker.
