But I digress, thinking about it logically, we have to see how the team comes together through mini cap, training camp, and the PS, as well as how we fare in the injury department which has ostensibly ruined our last 5-10 seasons by Sept 30.

Never say never, especially when it’s the first game of the year. When the bills were garbage, I always hoped for a tough first game because they went surprisingly well. You have all off-season to prepare for that team as opposed to one week, there’s no film on you if you have new players (like the jets do), and sometimes the great teams look past week 1 and don’t take it as seriously if they deem you inferior. There were a few week 1 bills surprises over the years, I remember Chicago and New England being prime examples. The jets will be tough to prepare for because no one knows what the Aaron Rodgers-jets offense looks like yet, and I could see them overlooking the jets. You never know. If you have to play a great team, I always feel like week 1 is the week to do it.
