Rumors about a Sat nite/Sun AM snowstorm out here in Central PA. Might have to fire up the Ariens for the first time in several years. Good thing I use Ethanol Free Fuel.
only fuel that goes in my boat too... but damn its expensive. Yeah, you inland guys may get a bit of snow. Probably wetter out on the coast
Looks like the snow will miss us here in Bergen County, NJ. I am in Fair Lawn and yesterday they said 5 - 8 inches then as the day went on it was 3-5 then 1-3. Today they are saying about an inch of snow by Sunday morning.
Weather's gonna get crazy down here later today.... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 5 IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS COASTAL WATERS FROM FERNANDINA BEACH TO ST. AUGUSTINE FL OUT 20 NM COASTAL WATERS FROM ST. AUGUSTINE TO FLAGLER BEACH FL OUT 20 NM
Same here. Our first high wind warning since 2010… and that’s saying something considering the severe storms/hurricanes we’ve had since then. Already under the torcon 5.
I knew it ouldn't meet the doomsday news hype, but Never really got that bad here..... blew through pretty quick
Was 18 degrees here sat night, 24 last night….. gonna be 73 on Thursday. I’m ready for spring. Not much of a fan of the cold anymore if it’s not gonna snow . (One snow every 5 years would be nice, but no more than that either).
I talked to my cousin yesterday (who now lives in SF for work) during the TB-DET game... "you talking your boat out?" .... "Dude the windchill is 35 degrees rt now!"... "What?!?! really?!?" "Yeah it's 46 degress and blowing 20kts and the water temp is 56".
Probably could have its own thread , but…. Norther lights. Anyone see them last night? Full blown g5. And I’m an idiot. I’m in the blue ridge Mtns til Monday, and went to bed early last night. And it was supposedly amazing . Thankfully it should be good tonight too, I’ll take a ride and see them.
Don't get Northern Lights down here but about 4 this morning I was outside and saw this. Picture doesn't do it justice and this was well before sunrise even though it looks like it's about to come up. Edit: looking at this pic they look like clouds but they did not look like clouds when I was looking at them.
Not sure, the lighting threw me off though. It was well before sunrise and the lights below it was a lot more than generally comes from the shopping center back there.
Beryl has been very unfriendly to a couple of places I visited only a few months ago - the Cayman Islands and Cozumel. We met some very nice people in both places - I hope that they're okay. Next stop is apparently northeast of Corpus Christi, Texas, on Monday.
What a rare mid summer treat. A cold front passed through late yesterday , and the weather is amazing this am. Low humidity. Decent temp. It all goes back to hell Tuesday am. But atleast this happened on my day off.
Wow, this is gonna suck. 1.5-2 feet of rain between tonight and Friday. It was bad back in 2015-2018 when we had a few storms that produced similar. The flooding was catastrophic…. But we didn’t have the massive amount of development that we have since 2021. We already have new communities that flood from heavy afternoon thunderstorms. Can’t imagine what this is gonna do
