Rebel Moon 2 is out. Far better than the first. Picked up from the ending and it was a 2hr long thrill ride after that. If you haven't started this stream, you could do worse than Rebel Moon. Netflix has a winner with this. Thank you Zach Snyder!!
I caught the last of it. All in all, I think it was a missed opportunity. Plus, at the very end, they tell us in text about Edwin Stanton’s three months of defiance against President Johnson, which I had never heard about and really wanted to see more. Could have been super interesting. Better than the trial. That part was a total snoozer.
Yeah, no kidding. With the way they hyped that trial in the two previous episodes, I was expecting... something.
Nah man... no monsters at all. Just a lot of combat and a decent continuation of the first episode. This is a pretty good sequel and part of a trilogy. Can't wait for the finale. It did have kind of a Dune 2 feel to it but with a better end point.
Something about Snyder's movies that I can't pay attention within ten minutes. Fallout of a good series so far. It made me go back and play the 4th game, which I forgot how good it was.
I'm into the third episode of Baby Reindeer. Ultra-cringe stalker drama based on a true story. Some funny moments but really dark.
Yeah, I’ve been pausing before clicking past, but no doubt I’ll eventually dive in. Probably from a bias for true stories. So much crappy script writing, at least with true story dramas there’s only so much a writer can blow. Also heard about the big twist in Sugar. Not on purpose, but I’m pretty okay with spoilers. Sugar might be Exhibit A for why I sometimes go out of my way to find them. If I let myself get dragged through another few episodes that go nowhere only to reach the ridiculous plot twist I now know, I’d absolutely lose my shit.
Yes, I feel the same way about spoilers. Otherwise I might have been bludgeoned into watching that Argyle disaster. The spoiled ending for that has ensured I will never even see the opening credits.
Heh. You're not alone. Battered viewers support group meets at 6pm. I'll save you a chair. I do like kinda like Sam Rockwell, though. On the up-side, the pickings have been so slim lately, it made watching 2023 college football games in advance of the draft an easy choice.
How do you guys feel about the Tom Brady roast? I found it extremely entertaining and at times hilarious. (didn't want to start a new thread so hope it fits here).
haha--deification of anyone is bs, for sure. Curious, who would you be comfortable watching as the center of a roast?
Disclaimer-I hate Brady. However, I watched it and thought it was great. The roasters were brutal(the only one that sucked was Ben Affleck) and Tom was a good sport. There were 2 Jets jokes and they were funny. I say watch it, you may be surprised. FYI, watched it in pieces, it's long.
