Wide receivers are getting over drafted just as badly as QB’s now.

I hope the Jets don't trade up into round 2.

Historically they haven't been good in this round.

Stay put. Keep the picks. Don't panic.

Minshew, decent QB who usually had very little to work with. Now he's got some talent around him.

Quality > quantity. Especially when you need to win asap.

I've seen a lot of online outrage out of the actual Raiders fanbase who would disagree that their end game handling at QB and a decision to draft Bowers over the Mayer investment they just made last draft should be classified as "killing it".

The Raiders are gonna punch teams in the fucking mouth with their two tightends and two stretch receivers.

Their only mistake was letting Jacobs go while building this specific offense. He's perfect for it.

In theory, yes. But the draft is a crapshoot. You don't know who will turn out to be quality or not. Randomness rules. Like it does generally, in life. So your best approach is to maximize the number of shots you take. The more shots, the better chance you have of hitting. If their round 3 pick is approaching and a WR they really want is still there, then fine, trade up a few spots, but otherwise stay put and be patient, or trade down.

I don't like him. When I first started doing research on prospects, he immediately jumped out at me because of his size and freakish speed. Then I learned that he dropped a ton of passes, and if memory serves me correctly, isn't a good route runner. Those two things totally turned me off to him.

People are still crying about the Bowers pick? Get over it, most great TE are not selected in the 1st round. I won't lose sleep over the Raiders overdrafting him.

I normally am opposed to trading up, especially in the 1st round, but trading down after the first round generally isn't very beneficial. One winds up missing out on players that could have helped the team, and the lower in the draftt one goes, the less talent there is. In this situation, I seriously doubt that the Jets have room on the roster for as many draft picks as they have. IMO it would be much more beneficial for them to trade up into the 2nd round and take the best WR they can get rather than just accepting whatever falls to them.

I don't. I don't like Coleman. He quit on his team once his QB went down and dogged it the rest of the season. That's not the kind of player we need on the Jets.

It's not a matter of panicking. It's the matter of getting the best WR they can get, and there isn't room on the roster for 7 new rookies drafted plus UDFAs.

Ben Sinnott, that's a TE that I would have liked the Jets to add. Erick All is another one.

I hear you, I think we are saying similar things. They currently have the 10th pick in the third round, right? We're late second round right now. If they like a WR who is still available at this point, end of second round or early third, go for it.
