If they can’t get a relatively high second that is a very likely possibility that at least one of those two will be signed.
It was a weird 1st round. It seemed like it went really fast. There was no defense and when the Colts finally took a defender, it was a guy who is injured and broken and probably shouldnt be playing. Also there were very little trades and most of the big name draft picks were at home on their couch
Maybe Detroit isn't the dream location for a draft that they were desperately trying to tell us during the broadcast.
Plus, fun fact: most guys drafted with names ending in vowels since the 1941 Italian Army. And don’t even get me started about all the buzz around Romes. Crazy stuff.
Good point, McCarthy was the weirdest one to skip it. He's a legend in Detroit, just won a national championship for the Michigan Wolverines, how do you not show for a draft there bring it back to NYC
Pearsall will be a household name come the end of the season, he's going to be special. They are definitely trading Aiyuk or Deebo, I would love either but we just don't have the $
What?! They traded with KC again? Mahomes is there because of them. They must love getting beat by KC most of the time and always in the playoffs.
when I was watching Anthony Richardson highlights last spring, I came away so impressed with Pearsall. He was everywhere
Just watching the end of the first round on DAZN… Goddell is absolutely hammered! He can’t even read off his little cue cards!
Buffalo followed it up with another stupid trade. Moving out of the 1st round is a big deal because you lose that 5th-year option. They moved one spot with Carolina, lost out on Xavier Legette with a standard 5 years of control, all they got was a slight move up from 6th to 5th out of it
haha i had the same tought. McCarthy or Bo Nix will be superstars because we have that effect on people
Such a great point. I never thought about that. My mind immediately goes to the inflated value of the first pick in Round 2. That pick probably attracts more trade calls than any other single pick in the draft. But I think you're right. That lost year is no great trade off. If you trust your board, you're probably better off making a pick at the bottom of Round 1.
I hope that won't be case! I'm hoping that the Jets will trade up into the 2nd round and take Malachi Corley. If the rumor is true that they were going to take Jahmyr Gibbs last year, then they should be just as interested in Corley.
