This is one of those movies that I didn't want to watch and ended up loving it.

Regrets: I went to school for criminal justice and ended up working in finance. I wish I had stuck to my guns(see what I did?) and became a cop. Bennies for life. Either that or become a history teacher.

Advise to younger self…pay more attention to what the older selves around you are saying. Your road will be easier.

I would say , apply yourself in school, go to college etc…. But that’s not for everyone, and there is nothing wrong with being a tradesman.

yeah but ya know I used to take that shit too hard. The old hats at work telling me I couldn’t do things or shouldn’t do things, I always listened. Now I’m one of those cynical old hats.

I try telling my kids to not let others limit you, I know it’s a fine line to respecting elders and being a dick though

    This.
Chase experiences / adventures, NOT material items. Basically tried to live my life sacrificing financial goals for freedom (granted I'll probably have to be a Walmart greeter at 80 years old, but whatever....). "Doing Stuff" is always better than "buying stuff" imo....

Money comes and goes, but the ability to do alot of those things only lasts a short while.Memories, stories and checks on the bucket list don't go anywhere...

"Youth is wasted on the Young".
Sadly experiencing alot of that now, lots of unchecked adventures (spots to surf, mountains to bomb...) that just went away because I was conservative with $ and could do that "next year"....
It never really registered with me as I always had the juice of "kids" half my age, but unfortunately in the blink of an eye father time made me pay for all my past injuries like a ferrari hitting a brick wall.... Apollo Creed once said "There is no tomorrow!"

Well, I haven't shared this before now but last year, I was diagnosed with PC. Today, I am cancer free thanks to exceptional medical coverage. Wake up call for sure as I have more yesterdays than tomorrows. I decided to get to work immediately on my bucket list while I'm able to both afford and enjoy it. That being said:

Biggest regret: Thinking I knew everything when in fact, I didn't know shit about anything.
Biggest lesson: Make good choices and avoid shortcuts in life as mostly, they are mirages.
Advice to younger self: Think with your head, not with your dick.

Grandpa C. Very sorry to hear about your cancer. So glad it is behind you now. Appreciate you sharing your insights. Well honestly going to fishing with you one day is on my bucket list. I know nothing about fishing but I love the drinking part. :)

C!! You’ve been holding back. I’m upset that you didn’t trust us enough to share this on a public football messageboard.

You’re forgiven, but only because everything turned out OK. And, of course, I’m glad you’re well.

You know me Jack.. I'm not a limelight kinda guy. Nothing like 28 treatments in the microwave to give a person a different perspective on life. :)

The one thing that I learned is, once you die, 99% of all your possessions will be thrown into a dumpster within a week of your passing.

Family members might take one or two items for sentimental value (or some pots and pans to a cousin that just got their first apartment) but other than that... all trash.

Even the things that are "Collectors' Items" will only be resold at pennies on the dollar If someone is willing to take the time to research them and put in the work required to resell these items. Especially by family members that have no interest in the field that the items came from. Sadly, most people just want to move on as quickly as possible and get back with living their lives.

That works out good for us real estate agents, many times I am told to do what ever I want with what they leave. Not usually a whole lot but made about $400 in beer money from the last place.
