Ok I’ll be the first to admit I’ve never gave a shite about the women’s game before but damn I can’t stop watching this tournament. It’s more interesting than the men’s tournament by far! that Clark girl is awesome to watch not much else to be said there. But cute Bueckers for UConn might even be better than Clark honestly. And a lot of people were hating on Angel Reese for LSU but I liked her game too what’s happening to me? I’m wrapped up in the women’s game
I always got along well with lesbians! In the workplace and stuff they’ve been some of my best friends
Well I know I’m the only one watching but it’s Iowa and UConn right now fellas lots of talk about Clark from Iowa but Buekers from UConn may be better! And she’s cute too
The hype got me to watch almost an entire half of LSU and Iowa. That's not being sarcastic. I find college basketball to just not be entertaining and I have not watched a single minute of the men's tournament in years. I think it goes back to my childhood where the sports ticker for ESPN News was the fastest way to get baseball scores in the morning before school. But during college basketball season and the hundred games played a day, all the ticker would show is college basketball and reset each commercial break. I despised it. But I agree. College woman's basketball is a better product than the men's and Clark is really really really good.
Buekers loves Jesus way too much unfortunately. I have family in town or I would catch some of the game.
the men’s game is a joke right now, unwatchable. I’m a bitter old man but I’m pissed at college basketball. I’ll save a rant and just say 20 years ago when AAU ball got popular we would say freshman coming in have too much AAU in them, and now the fucking NCAA made that their entire product last nights women’s game was actually a little disappointing. I thought LSU-Iowa was a better game. Last night was kinda lame and honestly felt a little rigged in the final minute
I watched the early tourney games on a shortened replay, mostly only showed the scoring plays. Was pretty good that way I felt for some of those early games. NC State has definitely been entertaining though. Hoping they win it all.
They have to fix the NIL rules and limit the transfer portal. I’m down if guys transfer after a couple years for a better opportunity but guys transferring 2 or 3 teams is just retarded. This pertains moreso to football but all of the fucking waivers and extensions is ridiculous. Tyler Shough was Justin Herbert’s backup! And he will now start for his 3rd school in his 7th year.
Iowa-UConn had more viewers than: Any women's CBB game ever • The 2023 NBA Finals • The 2023 World Series • The 2023 Orange Bowl • The 2023 Big Ten Championship • The 2023 Cotton Bowl • The 2023 Pac-12 Championship • The 2023 Big-12 Championship • The 2023 ACC Championship • The 2023 Peach Bowl • Thursday Night Football • Every 2023 college football regular season game except Ohio State vs. Michigan
South Carolina should beat Iowa pretty good I would think. Loads of depth and Dawn Staley is a great coach
I've always felt that the proof was in the pudding regarding the impact of women's basketball - the WNBA is the top professional league, and it has been a joke from a business point of view its entire history. Having said that, the impact that Caitlin Clark has had on sports television this year has been truly amazing (not at all coincidentally with lots of help from ESPN). She is a genuinely great player, as is Bueckers (the big difference being that Iowa has relatively little top talent other than Clark, while UConn is, as always, stacked). It will be interesting to see what happens next year - will the tremendous hype this year carry over to the WNBA next year, and will the next group of college players keep the hype up? I have my doubts.
Doubt it. She never matched the hype of Clark, but Brittney Griner got a fair amount of coverage and was an unseen phenom given her height. She gave the WNBA exactly zero additional coverage.
Well, the lack of depth of Iowa ended up once again dooming Clark's chance for a championship. The South Carolina bench outscored Iowa's 37-0! It was clear that by the middle of the fourth quarter Clark had nothing left.
